Audie Award Finalist, Romance, 2014

Nestled on the Oregon coast is a small town of rocky beaches and rugged charm. Locals love the land’s unspoiled beauty. Developers see it as a potential gold mine. When newcomer Hank Cooper learns he’s been left an old friend’s entire beachfront property, he finds himself with a community’s destiny in his hands. Cooper has never been a man to settle in one place, and Thunder Point was supposed to be just another quick stop. But Cooper finds himself getting involved with the town. And with Sarah Dupre, a woman as complicated as she is beautiful. With the whole town watching for his next move, Cooper has to choose between his old life and a place full of new possibilities. A place that just might be home.

4.5 The Wanderer Stars

Robyn Carr has spoiled me. I have loved every book I have read by her. I am in love with her Virgin River series. And was putting of this series because well I wanted to save it… But I couldn’t resist and I needed my fix.

This is NOT Virgin River and that’s OK. :) I fell in love with Thunder Point who could blame me. This place is special they look out for one another. They come together when they need to. It’s just as special as VR.

I love the high school kid’s part of this book. We get the adults but we get the teens too and that was great. Ooooh and the older adults too!!! I loved that. Put a smile on my face to see how much a man can love all parts of a woman, even her insecurity’s.

Ahhhh Cooper, finally is all I am going to say about Cooper. ;)

Yahoooooooo Therese Plummer was the narrator!! If you haven’t had the pleasure of listening to her you MUST. She is outstanding. She brings every book I have ever listened to her by to life in a way no other narrator has done for me. She does a fantastic job.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Another winner by Robyn Carr....

I can hardly wait for more. Jumping off from Virgin River series into a new series with new characters, and a new environment. But same great stories, and Therese Plummer does a great job narrating as usual.

Lots of Characters

This story is complicated by the introduction of multiple characters and town building but I definitely enjoyed this book. Not sure if I am going to read the next story as it sounds like a drama filled version of the same primary couple.

Added Mystery Gave New Dimension

I was thinking of relying on the same genre but trying a new author. I admit I found myself missing the Virgin River friends, already. I finally decided on trying another series from Robyn Carr with the same narrator. As I began the first in this Thunder Point series, The Wanderer, I was capitaved fro. the first. The setting was quite different, but the characters were just as rich. The foreshadowing helped carry the storyline, because the reader knew that something big was coming. I love the ending, which didn't focus on a coue getting married and living happily ever after.. I instead, it left readers excited and full of anticipation to see what new chapters would be written for this beloved town!

nice story

Nice story but seems to have ended abruptly. Character building was great and narrator was great

Light reading, interesting storyline

I enjoyed this while doing hurricane cleanup. It was light and enjoyable. Made all that nasty work go faster.

Seems I have heard this before.

Robyn Carr is on my instant buy list, I have everything she has ever written but I regret to say it seems as if she took pieces of her virgin river stories and made this one. You had a little Jack in their a little of Collin and a few other of the VR series ppl. It was still and enjoyable book but it has been done before. I would of rather of waited longer for a new book then to read something it seems I have just read.

A new location for Robyn Carr romance!

If you could sum up The Wanderer in three words, what would they be?

Charming, picturesque, enjoyable.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Speed it up.

Which character – as performed by Therese Plummer – was your favorite?

Landon

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It left me with a cozy feeling, a smile of my face and a desire to read the next two in the series.

Any additional comments?

The story has a slow start before any romance gets started. There are four romances in this story of a variety of ages. As in the Virgin River series, the introduction of a character in this book is a teaser for upcoming sequels.

started with book #4

Would you consider the audio edition of The Wanderer to be better than the print version?

I got hooked when I started with book #4 and didn't realize there was a series. As soon as I realized it, I was hooked already with the lives of those that I was hearing about in the novel. I listened to book number 1 and can not wait to listen to 2 and 3 or listen to them. I travel and I get so lost in the lives of these genuine folks that I really feel like they exist. It makes me want to travel to Oregon and visit.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I would have to say that in this story Cooper was my favorite character and then Gina, I loved how genuine they both were and how they both never swayed from who they were and how devoted they were in so many different ways!

What does Therese Plummer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

your able to get their personality right away without having to read pages and not knowing if they are real or shady

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Standup people always finish first
