Captivating
Wow! What a captivating read! It had me hooked from the first chapter. Yes, this was a hot read but it was so much more, I felt the varying emotions that Daphne experienced as secrets were slowly revealed. The setting, a castle in the highlands of Scotland with various passages and hidden walkways, was certainly atmospheric. As for Adam, Lord Hartmoor, what a complex character, not someone you would easily forget. Darcy Stark used varying voices to bring the characters to life and had an easy voice to listen to.

Well read and deliciously dark
This delicious story of a man with a deep hatred for the family of Daphne Fairchild is read wonderfully and with the male voice reading this Adam's words and emotions will jump out and surround you and suck you into their world. Magnificent story and darkly read gets my 5 stars!

LOVED IT! LISTENED TWICE SO FAR FOR STORY AND NARRATOR! VERY DESCRIPTIVE...BREATH-GRABBING...HEART-WRENCHING...SOUL-DESTROYING! NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!

The Villian
First off I have to say... Hot steamy Dom! I was pleasantly surprised to find this HOT STEAMY VILLAIN! There were times I thought he was a cad! LOL I can't wait for the second book! Victoria Vale is a talented writer. Darcy Stark has a sexy Scottish accent! Half way through I sent a message to Ms Vale telling her how much I was loving it! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. BUT I HAVE TO SAY IT's WORTH THE CREDIT!!!!!

Who is the Villain
Daphne is on a mission to save her family and to find out why one man is determined to destroy them. The Earl will give her the answers needed but in exchange she must give up what she holds dear to her. Can she survive these thirty days and will the truth change how she feels about her family. A MUST READ!
I absolutely loved this story! This book was full of suspense, romance and mystery (lots of steam). The narration was superb and gave the story that extra flair, it really kept you entertained. This author did a great job with the character builds and plot. This was my first book by this author but definitely will not be my last. I can't wait to read the other books in this series! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
