Great Vampire Romance

The story is interesting and keeps you hooked all the way to the conclusion. I enjoyed the characters and unique storyline.

The narrator did a fairly good job bringing the story to life.

This is a sweet paranormal romance with some steamy moments between the vampire prince and Alice. I enjoyed the HEA conclusion and what a great vampire Chris is. His brother in the other hand is horrible!

This is a great start to a new vampire series! I'm glad that it did not end in a cliffhanger. I'm looking forward to reading more books from this series.

This was an amusing fun book

Love conquers all in this cute paranormal romance. When Christopher meets Alice he is torn between wanting her for the vampire world and needing her for himself. Photographer Alice meets Christopher at her first showing and sparks commence. Love Audrey Lusk too!

A mixed experience

What do you do when you like a story but dislike the narration? Constantly wish you were reading instead of listening of course. That's what I did as I listened to this book.

The character voice for Alice made me cringe every time I heard it and she has a lot of dialogue, the other character voices weren't much better. At times Christopher came across as weak and melodramatic because of how his dialogue was delivered. The overall delivery was also problematic for me, I found the phrasing weird and it just wasn't pleasant to listen to.

If I'd paid for this book I'd return it and buy the eBook instead, because while the narration drove me up the wall, the story was quite good. I enjoyed the idea behind the story and the characters are interesting. It's nicely written and flows well.

Vampires magical creatures and sex

I got this review copy via audiobook boom. The title of my review says it all. That is what the story was about. The narrator seemed to strain to get the male parts. If you want sex with a tiny story line this is for you.It has lots of explicit descriptions.

It was sappy but ok

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I like the paranormal genre, and there are several that are labeled "paranormal romance" that I quite enjoy. This one, though, missed the mark for me a bit. For me, it was too sappy. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind if a short story has a happy ending (no pun intended) but this one just didn't have enough paranormal to dilute all the romance. Granted, I'm a guy, so there's that. If you like sappy, vampire-diaries-like paranormal romance, you'll probably dig this. If you need more Vlad Tepes (I was going to say Vlad the Impaler but there was too much double entendre) in your vampire stories, you may want to skip this one.

Great Read

Any additional comments?

The Vampire's Throne by AJ Tipton was a good read. Christopher Dal spent many centuries trying to turn many dreamers into vampires. He never wanted to control anyone like other vampires. Christopher meets Alice who he wants but since he wants to turn her, they can't have a romantic relationship. This was a great Read that I enjoyed reading.

Medieval thread woven into modern vampire romance

AJ Tipton has created a new vampire world with slightly different rules. These vampires can compel their sirelings making the relationship between creator and creation far more complex. Christopher, a vampire prince, and Alice, a human struggling photographer, experience instant attraction. Christopher recognises fabulous vampiric potential in Alice but is unsure of what to do. He wants to change her because of her potential but on principal, as her sire, he will be giving up any chance of a relationship because he doesn't want complete control of his lover. Throw all of that into a political situation where the current vampire king has suddenly died and one of his sirelings is claiming the thrown rightfully meant for Christophers. Drama! Drama! Drama!

The story has a lot of interesting characters. The coronation of the new king marks the initial incident to define further books in the series. AJ Tipton has provided a good introduction to this world, though this is not the best vampire romance I have ever read/listened to.
