Publisher's Summary

A vampire hunter finds himself powerless to resist a bewitching stranger's dangerous magic in Michele Hauf's latest romance.

In all his years of battling the undead, Kaz has never seen bloodlust like this. And as a Knight of the Stake, it's up to him to find out who's responsible for the mayhem sweeping the streets of Paris and put a stop to it. Kaz's task becomes infinitely more complicated when a very attractive witch wants to help.

With her quirky charm and irresistibly kissable lips, Zoë just feels right to Kaz, the way no mortal woman ever has before. But as a sworn enemy of the supernatural, can he really trust a witch? Especially one with dangerous secrets of her own?

The Vampire Hunter

A delightful story with characters made more intriguing by the first rate vocal skills of the narrator. Her diction and focus make the listening enjoyable throughout.

Cool Witches and Wicked Faeries

If you could sum up The Vampire Hunter in three words, what would they be?

Fun, Sexy, Suspenseful

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Vampire Hunter?

When Kaz finally discovers who the one-fanged vampire is -- that's pretty great.

What about Amanda Cobb’s performance did you like?

I liked that she doesn't have a high pitched voice. And she does all the characters and accents very well. I still had fun listening even hours and hours into it. I kinda got hooked.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Zoe finds out that she might lose everything and that she really loves Kaz. She seems feisty and flirtatious at first, but then we see how vulnerable she really is.

Any additional comments?

I hope Ms. Cobb does the next one. IS there another one?

A disappointing follow-up book

I really wanted to like this 2nd book of In The Company Of Vampires series and it got off to a good start however somewhere along the way I kinda lost interest in the characters and the plot and, if it wasn't for the sex scenes this, for me, was a YA listen.

There were Vampires, Witches, Warlocks, Fairies and Hunters all cohabiting a plot that was predictable and lacked any real chills or thrills. There was instant contact between the H/H, secrets, trust issues, a couple of near death scenes, a bit of suspense, a few touching/tender/romantic scenes and a lot of Vampire killings. So that's maybe why I didn't enjoy this one so much because if there's Vampires then I want them to be loveable Alpha, sexy, bad boys who are very much undead and not crumbling to dust every few chapters (I know I know this book's about a Vampire Hunter) but they were a sorry lot of 'juiced-up' crazies I suppose.

Worth the credit? Not a listen that I just couldn't wait to get back to or one that I was gleefully lost in and so, unfortunately it's a NO I'd rather have my credit and hours back.
