Can a very special wedding dress bring about love on Valentine's Day?

Drawn to an old trunk in the attic, Lara Calhoun is unable to resist finding out what treasure her late, beloved mother had kept hidden away for all these years. Will it lead her straight into Dave Lafferty's arms, or make her turn away from the love of a lifetime?

Little to believe in as far as romance is concerne

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I would say no. I could have been enjoying my time better elsewhere. While the narrator is very skilled and does what she can with the book she has been given the text and story is lacking in being realistic and ability to connect to characters.

Would you recommend The Valentine Wedding Dress to your friends? Why or why not?

I would say if you want a short, incomplete feeling story in which nothing really of any importance happens and it stays free (it was $0.00 when I purchased it) then go right ahead. If I would have paid for this title using a credit or just outright purchasing it I would have returned it right away.

Have you listened to any of Elenna Stauffer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not. I do not have any fault with her performance though of the material she was given.

Was The Valentine Wedding Dress worth the listening time?

No, I do not believe so.

Any additional comments?

I did not care for the music at the beginning and end of the audiobook however it does go away quite quickly. The whole story is lacking in real climax or suspense. Everything is quite easily predicted and feels silly. I have no connection to the characters or the plotline. I feel like this could have been a short story and cut out part of the whole "romance"-ish nature and have it be (spoiler) just two people meeting one another realizing their parents at one point were engaged and sparks now fly between them. It feel cheesy and overdone.

Nice love story.

This was a nice up lifting short love story.

If you’ve listened to books by Sherryl Woods before, how does this one compare?

I have not.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Voice was easy to listen too.

Could you see The Valentine Wedding Dress being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No. The story felt too short to be made into a movie.

Quick Story with a big enough punch

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it was a quick story with just enough of everything. Mystery, romance, loss, and a great happily ever after.

Cute ..

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Of course the "big event" - the tumbling down the stairs in her wedding gown into the arms of your new husband!

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

the story was delivered nicely. It is truly rare that I run into a 'horrible' narrator like some of the fake negative reviews on these sites claim an audio book to have.

Do you think The Valentine Wedding Dress needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

that would be fun. To see how her life unfolds with the highs and lows and past brought forward.

Short and Sweet

This was a very cute short story. I was not left wanting for any information. I think that the book was well written. I did not like the name of the main character. It might’ve been how The narrator said her name but it was unpleasant.

A sweet short story. A little sparkle, a little romance, a little para-normal, a little trust, this story has it all. Totally delightful.

Terrible Love Interest

I picked up the audiobook which was free on audible. It's short and figured why not. Dave's girlfriend Chelsea wants him to propose, but he doesn't feel the "magic" with her. Instead, he asks out Lara, the first hot girl he sees, then breaks it off with his girlfriend. Poor Lara will probably get the same treatment when their spark fades too. Not exactly what I'd call romantic, since I don't like the male protagonist at all.

The narration was fine.
