Publisher's summary

"I'm a time pirate - born in 1810, now a 21st-century woman. I travel through time trying to right wrongs without disrupting the fragile balance between what is and what can never be. That's why it's vital that I go to 1836 and find the man who conned my brother out of his Time Travel Mechanism as quickly as possible. If the technology falls into the wrong hands, it could change the world as we know it.

"The notorious Duke of Leister definitely qualifies as the wrong hands. An amateur scientist of the slightly mad variety, he's bound to figure out how to use the TTM sooner rather than later.

"I knew this wouldn't be easy. But I wasn't counting on him being as sexy as hell. Or winding up chained to his bed."

Short but fun!

I liked this a lot. Since it is so short, there are places that it needs fleshing out a little bit- but the story itself is great. I liked the characters (a snarky heroine is my fav!)

The second one is just as much fun too.

romance wrapped in a bit of sci-fi

Any additional comments?

Readers should be aware, this is a romance wrapped in a bit of sci-fi time travel. With that in mind, and even though I would have preferred the story had been longer, fleshing out Stormy's time travel back story, I found it very enjoyable.

Not bad for a short story.

An enjoyable romantic tale of time travel. I would have like to have seen more length to the story for I believe there was more to be told. I liked the characters and the world building was good for the length. The narrator does a great job reading. I did pick this up with the 25% off semiannual sale and it was worth the price.

I don't know what I just read.

It's not bad, it's not good. I've never read anything in this genre before so I'm not sure how to judge it. It was like... watching an episode of a tv series. One episode out 120. It was interesting enough, that I didn't "Change the Channel" but there's not a whole lot of plot and character development, etc, that can happen in a 20 minute episode. You wouldn't call one episode of a tv show a "complete story", at least in general, a single episode doesn't usually stand on its own.

A fun pilot episode!

I really enjoyed this quick listen. It's a fun story with just enough character development and arch to entertain. The plot is engaging with a steampunk twist and a sassy leading female character. The narrator is good and does a fine job of keeping my attention without annoying me with monotone or overacting.

I'm looking forward to continued tales of Stormy Gale!
