Publisher's Summary

Lennon Barrick-St. James is making headlines as New York City's hottest new socialite. Only she isn't new at all. One well-intentioned night gone horribly wrong has landed the daughter of vice presidential candidate Christopher St. James on the front page of every newspaper and magazine in the country.

Forced by her father to stay out of the limelight, Lennon flees to the quiet town of Heaven, Texas, where she vows to lie low and avoid men. Well, except for the sexy biker she just ran off the road - she definitely won't be avoiding him.

Noah Cunningham already has one girl in his life, and he sure as hell doesn't need another. Especially the beautiful and sinfully sweet angel that just descended upon the quiet little town he calls home.

The only problem is that the more time he spends with Lennon, the more he wants to be with her. And that's just not going to work for Noah. He's already been burned once, and he's not so sure he's ready to go down that road again.

Noah has spent the last five years putting his life back together after secrets and lies ripped it apart. So what will happen when he learns the truth about Lennon?

Sexy Single Dad Romance!

If you could sum up The Truth About Lennon in three words, what would they be?

Sexy, Father, Omissions

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that above everything Noah was a father first. For better or for worse, he put Nova's needs before everyone else's and was willing to sacrifice anything to keep her safe and happy.

What does Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Kai and Wen give such emotional performances! They really bring Noah and Lennon to life and make the scenes more moving and poignant. Their voices compliment each other wonderfully and they have amazing chemistry.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Lennon's lies by omission came to light and Noah confronted her. I could feel both their hearts breaking.

A SWEET DRAMA-LITE BEACH READ

Two things drew me to this book - the cover and the word biker (yes I'm that shallow).. ok ok maybe three things because the story sounded good too (there is that better?). But what I wasn't quite prepared for was such a sweet listen and anyone who doesn't like insta everything should move on out and look elsewhere because this sweet as candy listen would surely put a diabetic in a coma.

Socialite Lennon (aka Leni) has escaped some pretty awful press leaving shocking headlines with damning pictures behind so she's come to Heaven to lie low, lick her wounds and start over.. but, before she's even made it to her new house, she knocks a gorgeous man off his bike. He turns out to be Garage owner Noah a doting loving father to an adorable five year old daughter and very quickly they become a happy unit of three. During the two weeks they've been together Noah has opened up and told Leni everything about his past and she has given him truths too.. but not all of them (and you know where that's going to lead don't you). So, when the past comes a knocking on Leni's door, the poop hits the fan big time and, by the time the cat's long out the bag, things had quickly gone from good to bad and this Romeo and Juliet part ways under a cloud of hurt, anger, remorse, regrets, bitter words, sorrow-filled pleas and heartache all round.

Cut the sex scenes and this could be made into a Disney film.. complete with Noah's two Princesses because, once I had the image of tweeting rainbow coloured birds flying above the heads of the h/h, there was simply no going back. Yes, it had sex and Noah liked to be alpha in the bedroom, it also had a few sweet secondary characters too and a wicked stepmother.. no no sorry scratch that wrong book.. a wicked ex and a wicked Mother who broke the spell of a HEA for this couple whose dreams disappeared, like Cinderella's coach, in a puff of smoke.. ozone friendly of course! But love conquers all they say and it isn't too long before the Prince kisses the sleeping... sorry sorry wrong book again!! eh-hum before these two lovers are basking in their sugar sweet Epilogue. Dual POV and a team of dual narrators who stick to their own gender's voices making scenes flow naturally so the book smoothly runs from one chapter to another without any inconsistencies, flaws or wrongly paired narrators - Kai and Wen you rock.

Worth a credit? Well it depends on what you're looking for.. if it's an easygoing light fairy (sorry forgot the l - sweet but nope no fairies here) fairly.. yes fairly drama free listen then you've just found your next listen - but if you're looking for more then carry on looking. I enjoyed it, it made a long commute bearable so, for me, I've no complaints.

My Two Pennies

Kai and Wen have done it again with another incredible narration. The emotions felt through the story are on point and they have you hanging on each and every word. I enjoyed this book. Lennon escapes the life she had and settles into Heaven, as much as you try to run from your past it will always catch up to you. Noah has grown up and living the complete opposite lifestyle from Lennon he just doesn't know if yet. This story has ups downs, laughter and tears. I love seeing the connection that's formed between everyone it will definitely bring a smile to your face and then we're hit in the face with what happened in Lennon's past and if you're like me you'll be screaming at Noah to just stop and listen for a moment. We're given full closure on the events that take place when all is said and done. I fell for all the characters, there's no way you won't. Highly suggest you one click your copy. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

How can he believe her?

Where does The Truth About Lennon rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It ranks in the top 20. Decent story, the ending was a bit weak, but love is always a good story

What does Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They bring the different characters to life. It's like looking at a picture and then a 3-d graphic, there is more detail and depth.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It had moments of humor, a lot of frustration and jaw-dropping "I can't believe she said that" moments.

Any additional comments?

I was given a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Lots of love and good feelings

If you are looking for a read with a lot of feels and emotions, this book is for you. I found it a refreshing change of pace for me. Lennon and Noah have a chemistry that is hot and beautiful. This chance meeting leads Lennon, the daughter of a famous actress and the Vice President nominee's daughter to the love of her life. Noah, a single dad with a past he is still dealing with does his best to try and resist her, but they are meant to be. I love single father stories, and Noah is just so sweet with his daughter, Nova. This combination of characters, along with the supporting cast of Mikey and Charlotte complete the warm and fuzzy feelings that happen in Heaven, Texas. But in Washington DC and Hollywood, things are not so warm and fuzzy. When Lennon's past catches up with her, is Noah able to put it aside? You will have to give this book a listen. This couple will win your heart, but the real star is Nova. She is so cute and adorable, you root for her happily ever after.

Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross give a flawless narration. These two can narrate anything and draw you into that world when you are listening. It is like you are one of the characters right along with the story. Love this team!

even better!!

I was lucky enough to have gotten an arc of this book. I read it and enjoyed it. I loved reading The Truth About Lennon but the audiobook is even better!!

The voices bring the characters to life in a whole new way!

First and foremost, I'm going to be rude but...this cover...Hello Good looking!! Seriously, I have been putting off reading the book because the cover was too hot. I was so afraid that I would be let down. Obviously, I was on something strong.

I know it's vain to judge a book by its cover but that cover is the stuff dreams are made of.

Cleary, K.L. looks some notes from Nova's favorite movies. If ever there was a Prince, Noah would definitely be on my wish list. Best of all, he's real. He makes mistakes. He does stupid things. He has his head lodged so far up his backside...Sorry just venting!

He's human. Noah isn't perfect. The proof is that he wants nothing to do with Lennon. Clearly not perfect if he keeps pushing her away, human is more like it.

But both Lennon and Noah have pasts that have colored their present in not so rosy glasses. They are both trying to live. They just didn't realize how much trying was happening without succeeding.

A life without love...

So pull your head out of your backside! TBR, One Click, and then read The Truth About Lennon. You will finish it with a smile in your heart, possible puffy eyes, and a potential new friend.

P.S. Charlotte is my new bestie and I'm stealing Mikey.

A Funny, hot & heartbreaking great story

I loved The Truth about Lennon. This is a great and fantastic story about 2 characters Lennon (Leni) & Noah from opposite sides of life. Come crashing together in the most beautifully written way! Noah a single dad protecting not only him self but his beautiful little girl. Leni running from her past to start over and get a fresh perspective on life never imagined that she would meet Noah and what would take place along the way. I love how this story has all the feelers in it. You laugh, cry, shout for joy and suffer some angst and heart ache. The characters developed beautifully and to me this was a story like no other. You also get the narrators Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott who breathe so much more life in to the story that you just can't stop listening to it! I love their dual narrative of the book. They both did such amazing jobs with each character making them each unique in their own way. I loved listening to them tell this story and suck me into it that much more! I will be listening to this again and again! Thank you for the amazing read /listing!

Enjoyed the Story and Loved the Narrators!

Doing things a bit differently for this one... Two "firsts" for me with THE TRUTH ABOUT LENNON.... first time reading/listening to a new to me author K.L. Grayson and first time listening to the narrators Kai Kennicott & Wen Ross. This is perfect example on how a Narrator can totally introduce readers to authors. I had seen the cover but didn't place it on my TBR or Wish list, you know, so many books not enough time. Enter narrator Wen Ross.... he was a guest on one of the FB groups I'm in and I had the opportunity to listen to the video (multi-tasker here) and he has a great voice and did a few accents and well, I was definitely curious and looked at his catalog on Audible and checked out some additional samples. This is also where I got to listen to Kai and I really enjoyed her voice! Enter a mutual friend and I'm provided with the opportunity to review a book narrated by Wen and Kai. How did I decide? Accent! A good/great accent can make it or break it for me and Wen does a great "southern drawl" accent and when I learned this is one where the accent would be used... SOLD! lol Okay now to do a review on the book and then the narrators! :)

THE TRUTH ABOUT LENNON is a standalone story that is sweet, sexy and includes an adorable 5 year old and the main characters' two BFFs that I hope get their own story. This is an "insta-love" and a secret that wouldn't have been THAT big of deal if the main character would have just been honest from the beginning. We, the reader, learns what that secret is way in the beginning. Before the truth is revealed Noah has finally opened his heart and Lennon is shown that there are decent human beings out in the world and that she can be who she wants to be regardless of what is expected of her.

Remember that I said this was an insta-love, there were a few moments where I laughed because Noah was trying so hard to stay away. Lennon was also funny in her persistence to get Noah to allow her help him. They definitely have chemistry and the attraction is there. I feel that this would have been a better story if there was a bit more of "getting to know you" and tension between the two before BAM the insta-love occurred. But hey... tropes, right?

As with any good romance, their HEA occurs and its a matter of allowing conversations to occur and listening to each other vs. letting emotions get in the way. I have a hard time believing and liking the insta-loves when one minute he's declaring his love and how he knows her and the minute they have a conflict arise, he's angry, not listening to her, believing others and walks away. As I said, once conversations occurred, things were fixed and we have our HEA.

Narrators' Review:
THE TRUTH ABOUT LENNON is narrated in duet form, meaning that the male narrator narrates all the male characters and the female narrator narrates all the female characters. Its like having them do a performance so when they are bantering and cut each other off, they really do. If you're used to sole narrators or dual narration, it may take a little bit to get used to the interaction but worth the investment of the listener. THE TRUTH ABOUT LENNON truly benefits from this style!

Kai has this ability to bring to life the sarcasm of the characters! She executes the perfect pitch and tone that I'm like "Ohhhh loving the smartassness"! Then she brings the deeper, heart wrenching emotions to the listener that it allows you to feel for the character!

Wen... did I mention the sexy southern drawl? lol Aside from the sexy accent, Wen's performance is totally on point! He provides each of the characters their own tones/voices and like Kai is able to bring emotions to the characters causing the listener to connect with the character.

Kai & Wen are a great team as they play off each others' strength and provide an extra dimension to the characters and the overall story.

Overall, I'm extremely happy that I discovered a new author that I will be checking out their book list and have totally added both Kai and Wen to my list of narrators that rock! I really liked the story and really hope their BFFs get their own story!

Rating:
Story: 3 Stars - I liked it!

Wish I lived in Heaven...

Loved this story that took place in a little town called Heaven. I fell in love with the characters Noah, Nova, Lennon, and Charlotte. What's not to love about a country boy whose world revolves around his daughter. And Charlotte is the best friend every girl wishes she had. And the love Lennon and Nova have for each other is so sweet. The chemistry between Lennon and Nova is hot! Can't wait to "read" more from this author.
