Publisher's Summary

After a painful loss, Cady Moreland is coming to Magdalene to start the next chapter of her life. A chapter that began 18 years ago but had a heartbreaking ending. The time in between was full of family and friendship, but Cady could never get the man she fell in love with all those years ago out of her heart.

Coert Yeager has learned to live without the girl who entered his life right when she shouldn't have and exited delivering a crippling blow he never would have suspected. The time in between was full of failing to find what he was missing...and life-altering betrayal.

But when that girl shows up in Magdalene and buys the town's beloved lighthouse, even if Coert wants to avoid her, he can't. A fire in town sparks a different kind of flame that won't be ignored.

As Cady and Coert question the actions of the two young adults they once were thrown into earth-shattering circumstances, can they learn from what came in between and find each other again?

PEFECTION!!!!

There are not enough words for me to describe how much I loved this audiobook! The story was fantastic - a great second-chance romance with lots of angsty build up and super sexy steamy scenes. I flipped between reading and doing the audio and I have to say that this narrator did an amazing job bringing these characters to life! I loved this book so much - it's my favorite audiobook of 2017!

Fall in LOVE with LOVE

I am in awe!

This is exactly the kind of story that made me fall in love with Kristen Ashley’s books.

A second chance at love is just magically to me. And I loved Coert & Cady they deserved to be together.

The way they loved each other is something to strive for. You can’t have that much pain and sorrow and not have that much love.

I have loved each book in the series, but just in a different way. Cady makes you believe in hope.

I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I smiled so much my face hurt listening to this brilliant book of love and friendship.

I am also sure I have said this before but Kristen Ashley has a way of writing kids in to a story that is not only believable but so realistic. I love this so much!

I am in awe of Erin Mallon’s ability to make me love each character. To know each voice. To fall in love with love.
Fantastic.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves romance.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

It keeps getting better & Better !

This is my FAVORITE series of all of KA's books, and I've read A LOT of them. I was hooked with The Will, captured with Soaring, and completely submerged in The Time in Between. With each book being even better than the last, I didn't think it was possible again - but who am I to have doubted the amazing KA.
What affected me most about this story is the overall theme of forgiveness. Keep sight of your values and damn anyone who tries to get in your way. They close the door in your face, you keep it wide open. It's an important lesson to learn, especially when you've been hurt and been through hell and back. Ultimately it's love and family that matters the most.... no matter how much time has passed. This story gives hope. It sets a realistic tone that a happily ever after is always possible, it just sometimes needs time.

Another great one by KA

Beautiful ending to a series but too long... I love KA books and this one doesn't disappoint .
Worth reading but less exciting and lovely than the others she's written.

Bad narrator

The narrator has the most annoying way of talking. It sounds like she adds the letter h to all of her words and she is in pain. I'm struggling to get through the book and a little upset that I wasted money buying it.

FREAKIN AMAZING !**!!

Can I have more than 5 stars please?
I'm not one to expose any of the story but I must say, this is by far the absolute BEST work by Kristen Ashley. I've read every book she's written and have been totally satisfied by each story. But this one, the way she describes everything made me feel like I was right there in the front yard, at the Police station, everywhere. I found myself wanting to plan a trip to the East Coast just to try to find this wonderful location. The narration was on spot and the storyline was really, really exceptional. ... all I can say is ..ENJOY!!

Kristen Ashley simply always delivers!

Even admitting that the Magdalene series is probably one of my Least favorite of all of Ms. Ashley's different book series... it STILL delivers. A good story that makes you look forward to getting back to the story when you have to put it down for a while... this was a sweet story with a different way of working through the plot than normal. Once again, the narrator of this one is also not my favorite narrator - but at least a little more fast reading pace that the others in the Magdalene series ( the other books in the series have narration that simply drags until the smooth melodic dulcet tone of the narrator just gets on my nerves.). Even though my FAVorites are still easily some of her other books, this one was still a good book for it's genre and enjoyable from beginning to end.

Good Kristen Ashley fare

Ties in well with the other Magdalene series. Narration was OK. I would have like a little more story once they got together, some things just seemed to drift off. I suppose what I mean is it lacked a little excitement. It was OK.
