Publisher's summary

Would you take a thousand-mile road trip with your best friends...and the ex-girlfriend who broke your heart?

Meet Andee Shaw. A decade ago, her heart was broken by a devastatingly beautiful woman - the woman she thought she'd spend the rest of her life with. Now, 10 years later, two of her oldest friends, Elizabeth and Heather, are getting married in Vermont. And they have a request: They want the old gang to take that infamous road trip they always talked about in college but never set into motion.

The brides' not-so-secret goal: to enable Andee and her ex, Robin Barnes, to finally patch things up.

So, four college friends hop in a green convertible and begin a thousand-mile road trip that Andee isn't quite sure she'll survive. They visit the strangest places and encounter some wild adventures, and throughout it all, Andee struggles to come to terms with her conflicting feelings for Robin.

Because, despite her misgivings, Andee is falling in love with Robin all over again.

This is the complete collection of the three Thousand Mile Love Story novellas about two women who reconnect, forgive and forget, and love again; and the funny mishaps a thousand-mile road trip can bring. It contains Road Trip Reunion, Roadside Attractions, and Destination: Love.

Bravo

I may have found this fantastic writer through Brigitte Essex because of there collaboration on the vampire next door. But her HEA are more meaningful and touching. I am always left with those happy tears that after all the trials and tribulations the characters have gone through they finally made it. It’s always such a romantic ending too. I have to wonder if her relationship with her wife went along similar lines. These wonderful endings seem like something she is or has lived . To write such beauty one must feel it.

Love road books

Going around with these 4 friends was great, the description of the scenery was great, the characters well developed. The narration was absolutely the correct one, Emily Durante is capable to creat a great Variety of voices and it was a pleasure to listen to her.
Loved this book

Good, but I question the storyline

I enjoyed this book but it definitely wasn't one of the best audio books I've purchased. The whole idea of the story was that the 2 main people weren't together anymore and their friends insist on going on a road trip, just the 4 best friends, on a journey that ends at another friend's wedding, and the 2 women say they are still in love with each other but there's a big secret about what happened the night they broke up. If 2 people loved each other why would it take 10 years and a road trip with friends to finally discuss what happened back then? When the big secret is finally revealed it's hardly a secret. I just thought it was so unbelievable that the one woman wasn't pounding on her door every other day until she listened to what really happened. You don't just carry on with your life for years and ask the other friends how their long lost love/friend is doing. Other than that, which was a big hunk of the story line, I enjoyed the rest of the book

OK, I Guess

To begin with, I like road trip books, plus the last hour of this book is pretty damn good, in fact this book could have been so much better. The problem is the book's main character Andee. Andee's go to reactions to any event in her life are to be whiny, judgmental, self righteous, self pitying, self absorbed and not at all open to new information. Robin is obviously supposed to be the perfect woman who will go the distance for the woman she loves. She even sacrifices her relationship for the sake of the person who ruined hers, this human being is too good to be real and is only believable if you're a fan of Radclyffe's books. Thus the love match between Robin and Andee to be seems highly unlikely.
I gave this one 3 stars although 2.7 was closer to the actual grade.

blah

The characters were flat.
The romance story lacked any spark that draws me into a story.
