EPIC! TIMELESS! ENRAPTURING!

I am so moved by this series of novels. The genius behind this epic series is unbelievable! Full of descriptive language, amazing detail, a breathtaking storyline, outstanding characters and an amazing narrator are a rare combination to be treasured by all listeners!
The author must have poured her soul into writing these three novels. The tremendous amount of research necessary to perfect every minute detail about war, weaponry, geography, religion, culture, family and an innate insight into the human condition make this series an unforgettable experience!
I cannot say enough about the wonders buried within these pages brought to life by a truly gifted narrator!
I will listen over and over and never be able to get enough!
BRAVO!

Couldn't Finish it!

I don't understand how anyone could like this novel. I enjoyed the Bronze Horseman,Tatiana and Alexander was okay, but this one was just horrible. It drags on and on. Most of the novel is about Tatiana and Alexander fighting and having make up sex. Over and over. I got to the point where I just couldn't waste my time listening anymore. Don't bother with this one.

Perfect ending to a great trilogy!

Wish it didn't have to end. I'm in love with the story of Tatiana and Alexander. Paulina Simons is such a gifted writer. She brings her characters to life. This book in particular answered all the questions love stories tend to miss. After they were united.. it's the story of what happened next. I'm grateful for the whole story being told. Not one beat was missed. The narration can not go unmentioned, James Langtons voice makes you fall in love with the characters. He

Love this book, this series

I loved this book and was so sad when it ended but so happy to have read it. James Langton was a fabulous narrator. The first two books in the series should be 'read' first to make this one most powerful as it ties everything together. Love, loved it!

wonderful historical love story

such a wonderful trilogy. I hate that it came to an end. The characters were so interesting and their stories written so well, I felt I was there.

She should have stopped after the second book.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I am returning this book. I didn't enjoy this third book to the series at all. I wished she'd had a better editor and wrapped the story up with the second book. Simons jumped the shark a bit in the second book with the escape. But she really outdid credibility with the Vietnam caper in book three. I was really disappointed.

Absolutely loved the entire trilogy

Absolutely loved the entire trilogy. Summer Garden certainly kept me reading way beyond late several evenings. Such a gripping tale of love, destruction, betrayal, family and redemption that spans the lifetime of Alexander and Tatiana.

Tatiana and Alexander, two amazing characters, are tormented by war and are trying to built a life together. They are passionate, stubborn, courageous, incredibly strong and very much in love with each other. They fight, struggle, forgive and survive. Their very emotional story about love, hope and survival is so beautifully told that I was totally drawn into it. I felt their love and pain and together with them I was also crying and laughing.
