Overall good book but the male narrator was creepy!

Jeremy York almost ruined this book for me with his creepy, slow, drawn out southern cadence. I like the idea of the one night stand couple meeting again in the worst scenario and trying to see where things go though so have the book an overall 4. I liked Ava Erickson’s narrations too.

Male narrator was a bit off.

Can't remember that I have had such issues with this male narrator being off, with a corny way of putting the characters feelings out there. Just got stuck on it many times. Like what could have been hot was corny.

Cute, heart wrenching, and a sizzler!

4 Crazy Ass Stars!!!

I love this series and really enjoyed reading it on the dreary Monday. It was cute, heart wrenching, and sizzling!
I loved the gyno office scene! I was mortified but had a good laugh. There were a ton more scenes that had me giggling and my heart melting.
Both Bren and Mason's stories tugged at my heart strings and in their own way wrenched my heart as well.
The chemistry between the two was a scorcher. There were a few times that I was fanning myself.
I loved Ava's narration of Bren's part. I wasn't too thrilled with Jeremy's though. He just didn't fit the part of Mason.
Kendall Ryan is a fave and I will no doubt be on the lookout for more from her.

Heartwarming

The storyline was good, surprises throughout and read it through in one day. The female narrator was excellent but the male didn't fit the character speaking too slowly and lacking a sensual tone. That was the only frustrating part of listening to this novel read.

It just didn’t live up to expectations

The male narrators’ voice just didn’t fit the character and made it kind of hard to get into the story. And all in all I was just a bit disappointed with the book as a whole.

Good story

Good story. Predictable. Female performance, really good! Male voice sounded too old for the age of the character and too passive.

sweet story

FYI to the author, the opening(deleted scene shared at the end) should never have been deleted. Hot!

Cute story; male narration was a disappointment

The story was cute, a one night stand turns into an awkward situation. Bren is anti-relationship and refuses to fall in love with any man after she loses her father and sees what it did to her mother. Bren meets Mason at a bar and decides to scratch an itch and gives in to a one night stand. For both of them it was the best sex ever, but unfortunately for Mason, Bren sneaks out before he wakes up and she left no note or phone number. A few weeks later Bren is nervous when she misses her period. Her friend makes her an appointment with her OB/GYN who she says is super hot, and Bren is shocked when she sees Mason is the hot OB/GYN. Mason convinces Bren to give dating him a shot for 1 month. I think you can predict the rest from here.

As far as narration...if I could give Ava Erickson 4 stars and Jeremy York 1 star I would. Ava Erickson was good, but I am not a fan of Jeremy York. I would have preferred to listen to Ava's 'male' voice than his own. I have listened to 2 other books he narrated and could not get into those either. In my opinion his regular male voice is just not that strong or manly and his 'female' voice is horrible. Maybe it's his reading style or the way he executes the lines, but I just cannot get into any sex scenes he reads because he's supposed to be this strong alpha type man yet he doesn't sound like one at all. So all in all, his reading scenes were a huge disappointment.

the docotr that is finally looking for love from his one night stand

After reading the first few chapters this book really draws you into it, but after a while I felt it lost the excitement it gave me from the beginning chapters. I am a big fan of the author and i do enjoy reading thus series. This book wasn't my favorite in the "mate series". I am giving it 4 stars as I still think it's a ok book just wasn't what I expected it to be.
