Great first in series

This was a great series starter. Really gets you invested in the characters and the story line. the narrator does a great job. will definitely be looking into the rest of this series.

Decent set up

This was a good set up for a bigger story. It wasn’t super engrossing but it was good to set the stage. A lot of wondering who was on what side and good vs bad questions. The romance aspect was very underplayed, hoping for more there in the next book. The narrator was back and forth with tone, seeming to have a more monotonous intonation with male characters, but the female ones were nicely done.

A fun story that hooked me

I like the take on the old gods and their heirs fighting, the MC isn't op and just fits in to the story. There's a solid story being lined up for a great series and the narrator does an excellent job.

A Greek inspired adventure with a female lead

The Scarlet Thread is sort of like a darker Percy Jackson with a female lead. This is the kind of book that’s hard to set down. There is a setup for a love triangle, and I keep going back and forth on who I want the female lead to end up with because both of the guys are interesting and appealing characters. I would recommend the series for teen and adult readers. It does contain language and violence. The ending is an abrupt cliffhanger that left me eager for the next book.

The narrator of the audiobooks is well-suited to them, and she does a good job.

What a concept!

I really enjoyed the creativity of this book. I found the whole concept very interesting, and could understand how it could affect a person emotionally and physically. The writing was well done and stayed with the storyline. The world was very unique and there was a good amount of detail surrounding the events that happened. I was given this book to listen to and chose to leave this review voluntarily.

Entertaining

Firstly the performance was pretty perfect. She managed to get the petulant teenager vibe down flawlessly, and her voicing of the characters was easy to distinguish and follow.

In terms of story, this was interesting take on the story of good vs evil, with a melding of inherently Christian beliefs with those of the Greek pantheon. It give an extra dimension to the plot that leaves you feeling just a torn about what is happening as our heroine is. To that end, it does feel a little convoluted with each character having several names, and the cross stories they each present not quite lining up... but I think that was intentional. I think we are meant to share in her confusion as she tries to sift through all the new information.

And, then there is the cliff hanger! Thank goodness I already have to second book ready and downloaded! Definitely worth your audible credits, and an fun read.

the narrator did a wonderful job! It can sometimes take me a few days to almost 2 weeks to finish a book...but I was so invested that it only took me 2 days! loved the storyline and the execution. looking forward to the next 2.

Good start

A very good to the series. Very well written, and good narration. Like the twist on Greek mythology.
