Ever notice that sometimes a guy will do something really stupid, like let the love of his life slip through his fingers? Yeah. I'm that guy. But the instant I run into her again I've got one goal and one goal only—a second chance. The plan? Go big or go home. Fine, at first glance, stripping naked at my ex-girlfriend's place of work might not seem like the brightest way to win her heart again. But trust me on this count—she always liked me best without any clothes on. And sometimes you've got to play to your strengths when you're fighting an uphill battle.

When she finds herself in Sunnyville, she refuses to let her new roommate burn her too. Still...a rebound has never looked so good.

The first rule of football - don't screw with a streak. My career is finally looking up, and I'm leading a new pro team down the field every Sunday. No way will I mess with that. But when I meet the most stunning and captivating woman I've ever seen, I tell myself one night will have to be enough. But it's not. And now I can't get her out of my mind. Even when I'm playing. Catherine Barrington is a rich girl. Chris Cartwright is a poor boy. He left her to make something of himself. A man she could be proud of. A man she could bring home to her parents. A man she could marry. On the trading floor he became the man he knew he could be. Now, it’s time to return.
When you think about how easy it is to lose keys, phones, sunglasses and your dignity on social media, you might figure it'd be a cinch for me to ditch my V Card. You'd be wrong. At 25, I run a successful business, live in a fantastic apartment, and have fabulous friends to go out with any night of the week. And yet I'm still a card-carrying member of a club I don't want to belong to anymore. Good thing I know just the man for the deflowering job - my brother’s business partner and best friend.
Jack Sullivan is a sex toy mogul. An extremely eligible bachelor in New York, he's the full package, right down to his full package. Hell, this man could be the model for one of the toys his company, Joy Delivered, peddles. Instead, he's the powerful and successful CEO and he's got commitment issues a mile-long after the tragic way his relationship with his fiancée ended.
He's arrogant. She's self-righteous. I hate him. I want her. I've been turning him down for two years straight. Every shutdown makes me work harder. I'm not a one-night stand kind of girl. She doesn't realize I won't settle for only one night. He's a distraction I don't need. She'll say yes eventually because I'm not giving up.
For six generations, the women of wine country have had a saying: don’t bang a Hunter man unless you want a bun in your oven. Yeah, well. I’ve got a saying too: no thanks. The last thing I need is baby makes three. My business is expanding, and the only thing I’m interested in getting knocked up is my bottom line. But then one night, Emma Haverford makes me an offer I can’t refuse - she backs away from the land I have my eye on in exchange for a favor...a big, fat, baby-making favor....
There's one woman though who can break down his walls. Someone who knew him then. Who can reach inside to that heart he protects fiercely, because she's the only one he ever gave it to. When they collide, it's tender and savage, gentle and rough, and makes them both hungry for more of this electric, once-in-a-blue moon kind of sexual chemistry. But it's a battle of wills between Michael and the woman he loves, with words and emotions held close to the vest.
This single gal has had enough of the games, the BS, and the endless chase. I know what I want most, and it's not true love. It's a bun in the oven, and I'm not afraid to hit up my sex-on-a-stick coworker to do the job. Ryder is gorgeous, witty, and wild - and he's also a notorious commitmentphobe. That makes him the perfect candidate to make a deposit in the bank of me. I won't fall for him, he won't fall for me, and there's no way baby will make three. Right?
Growing up, the three of us were friends. He was the nerd. I was the playboy. She was the beauty. Deep down, I only ever wanted her. I kept it inside because Rory and I made a pact that our friend, Amber, was off-limits. He lied. I went off to college, and he got the girl. Amber never knew how I felt. They were together for years - before he broke her heart. Through it all and across the miles, she and I casually stayed in touch. When my job sent me to Boston for a three-month contract position, Amber let me stay in her spare room.
Keep your lover close and your enemy closer....
After giving in to a fiery night of passion, island adventurer Steph Anderson and bounty hunter Jake Harlowe are back to square one. With millions in stolen jewels at stake, it's hard for Steph not to question her new partner's true motives - no matter how sexy he might be. Jake is hungry for more of Steph, but he can sense her growing mistrust, which only fuels his own doubts. Worse, there's undeniable evidence that someone else is now after the jewels - and that they are both in real danger.
Fighting against their magnetic attraction is a distraction these two can't afford. In order to survive, they'll have to pull off one more heist - and trust each other with something even more precious than jewels: their hearts.
Great ending to the story...or is it? I also loved the narrator. Sebastian York should narrate all books.

I love the narration, the characters, and the fun mystery. That is until the mystery became a mish mosh of an ending that seemed to just wrap stuff up when we hadn't been given all the clues. Yes, I love how they teamed up. But the minor characters, and what they were doing most of the story, didn't make much sense. Sadly, I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first book but enjoyed the romance and witty retort the main characters had.
Fun book that would have been much better as just one book with minor editing. 😁

Jake and Steph on the hunt for the same thing. A team in all ways. Lots of leads to follow, lots of questions to be answered. But will Steph's ties to Eli hinder her commitment to find out the truth? When things take an unexpected turn will Jake's sudden lack of trust in her cause their relationship to come to an end?
A great continuation of book one. Just as suspenseful, just as dramatic but just as sexy and humerous. The twists and turns in this story will have you wanting more and you can't put it down. I didn't want it to end. Another great story Lauren. Loved it❤️
Loved the narrating by Sebastian York.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Sapphire Heist to be better than the print version?
I don't consider one better than the other.I love Audio versions some times better because it allows more emotion that the narrator adds to it,That also depends on who is narrating it and how they portrays the characters. I love print because I can hold it. I love the feeling of a book in my hand. I love both versions the same Print and Audio.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the twist and turns of the story. I loved how it kept me on the edge of my seat and left me begging for more from these characters. I loved watching the trust build between to strangers. I love the roller coaster of feelers of good, bad and in between.
Have you listened to any of Sebastian York’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have and I love Sebastian York! I don't think that man can do a bad audio. you can tell he puts his heart and soul into his job and it shows in his work!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes and I did! I needed to find out what happened between the Jewels, Jake, Steph and everything else that was going on.
Any additional comments?
I felt this was a great conclusion to The Sapphire Affaire. I loved this series and I really do hope Lauren Blakely continues their stories and conquest I will defiantly listen to this story again! Thank you so much for Jake & Steph's journey and I hope to see it continue some day

After the suspenseful cliffhanger from book one, I was ready to dive right into The Sapphire Heist! There's nothing like a story with the Cayman Islands as the backdrop to beat the summer heat! Blakely takes the reader on an adventure with a well land out plot that's full of twists, and turns that will keep the listener guessing.
The mystery and suspense picks right up where book one leaves off. Steph and Jake find themselves searching for answers to the same question, but for different reasons. Where are the diamonds? Their attraction, and mutual interest in these diamonds lead them to join forces; however, their mistrust will have them questioning each other's loyalties.
The chemistry between Steph and Jake was off the charts! Not only were they hot between the sheets, but they rocked outside the sheets. Steph was no PI, but with Jake's help and guidance, they made a great team, while they investigated the missing diamonds. All the sexy, sweet, and funny banter between them, brought a smile to my face.
Sebastian York's voice is AMAZING! He really brought the characters to life, and made it easy to distinguish between them. York's a natural!
I enjoyed this story a lot, and will be checking out Blakely's other audiobooks. Another awesome KU/whispersync gem to good to pass up.

This was an okay book, however it should have been told along with the first book in this series. It felt like extra fluff to get to the resolution.

What a fun story, a mystery of missing gems that brings love to two people. This was fun, full of colorful imagination with underwater fun and running around paradise in search of truth. Loved the story and great narrator.

I love both the author and the narrator of this book. Lauren Blakely did a great job with the 2nd book and there is even room left in the story for additional books in this series. Jake and Steph pick up their relationship from the first book and enhance their feelings. The author did a great job of getting you caught up from the first book, since I listened to in a while back. Sebastian did a wonderful job with the characters, as I have grown to expect from him. It is near to impossible to put this book down once you start it. The mystery and suspense keep the reader guessing throughout. I really enjoyed this book.

Following on from book 1 (The Sapphire Affair), which needs to be read first, this is a real life ‘whodunnit’. I had no clue who to trust, who was doing what with whom and it stayed that way until the end. Both Jake and Steph, even after their night of passion begin to mistrust each other, doubts creeping into everything they do. Who has the diamonds? Brilliant plot, storyline and characters. I listened to this book on audio and as there is so much happening, I had to keep backtracking when I lost concentration and missed a bit, there was that much going on. Thoroughly enjoyable romance with twists, turns and lots of sexy times. Oh, and add Sebastian York into the mix. Win win.
I really this book , book two was just as good as book one , I am looking forward to reading other books from this author
I thoroughly enjoyed this two parter. I loved the crime and adventure elements. I am also a big fan of the Lauren Blakely and Sebastian York partnership in her male dominated novels. I would definitely recommend Lauren Blakely as an Author; Sebastian York as a Narrator and this novel as a whole.
In response to other reader reviews - Amazon's profile of this Lauren Blakely novel quite clearly says the story comes in two parts, so customers are given the information before they purchase the book(s)
