Publisher's summary

Ned was confused about his feelings for the two women in his life. Which one held the key to his heart: the temptress, Ellen, or the sweet Maria? They each stirred him in a different way. He found himself traveling all the way to London, England to find the answer. After attending balls and riding through Hyde Park, he finally discovered whom it was he wanted and needed more than the air he breathed. But claiming her would be another matter entirely.

Good clean romance

I got this ARC via audiobook boom. I found this story to be as good as the other stories I have read by this author. The performance was not as good as the others. There were several spots where the words were missed and I had to fill them in with what I thought would go. The story is about a young man who is confused about his feelings for two girls. He recklessly proposes to the mean girl but falls for the nice girl after spending time with her while the mean girl goes back to England. The story has several twists and turns but in the end turns out very well.

Who to choose

This is a lovely, clean story about Ned's difficult decision - should he choose Ellen or Maria to spend the rest of his life with.
Ellen excites him while Maria is a true friend. With Ellen he feels passion, with Maria he is comfortable and happy. Ellen wants to change him, while Maria is happy with him the way he is.
Which lady will he choose, which one will make him happy and make all his dreams come true?
As usual Barbara Goss has written a delightfully entertaining story, one that will keep you guessing and interested in the outcome and hoping he makes the right decision.
The audiobook version was provided by the author at no cost and this is my unbiased review.

What a fun book to listent to!

Nad thinks he loves Ellen because of the passion that she gives him and the fire that flows through his blood when they are together. After she leaves Hays, Kansas to return to England, he meets Maria and they form a deep friendship that causes confusion in Nad's heart and mind.

Maria knows that she has found the man that she wants to share the rest of her life with, but knows that he thinks he is still in love with the girl who left him. Maria pushes Nad to go to England to find out if his love for Ellen is true or if it was just physical.

Ellen hates Kansas but loves how Nad makes her feel. She wants Nad and will do anything to keep anyone else to claim him for her own. Who will Nad pick? How will he know what love really is?

Barbara Goss writes a fun story an unusual love triangle. The Due Team made the story fun and I enjoyed listening to more than one narrator in this story.

Ned & Maria

I`m a big fan of Barbara Goss`s sweet and wholesome love stories.
Enjoyable story with lots to keep you interested and on your toes. This was the first in Barbara`s audiobooks that I've listen to that was a duel narrative, I personally love duel narrative but I think it would have been made better if the phrases "she said & He said " had been removed.
Male narrator was good, female narrator could improve her accents along with timing.
All in all, I really enjoyed this audiobook and look forward to the next book in the series.

Sweet love story

I have enjoyed listening to several books by this author and find them all to be clean listens that reference believing in God and going to church. The narrators for this book did a good job with their various characters and fit the time period with their performances. Some characters I really liked and others not at all. This book is part of a series and is a standalone listen. I was provided with this book at my request and have voluntarily written this review. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it.

Left me hanging

Any additional comments?

I listened to the audio book version of this book. It was the first time I had ever listened to a book that had both a female and a male voice actors. They are known as "The Duo". I found that having both of them reading the different parts brought this book more to life than if one person done it. The accents were off for the woman who read, and sometimes way off, however, I really enjoyed listening to this book!

The story was great! I look forward to reading more in the series! The book ended to me, with a cliffhanger. I was listening and then....audible thanks you ... WHAT? Come on!

Wonderful, clean, loving, and feel great story!!

I like how the author gives Ned and Maria their morals and even through temptations they stick to them. Ned is having a tough time deciding between the two women that he is drawn to. Maria is his best friend and believes in the same values that he does. However, Ellen tempts him with her hot sensual sexual advances. Even though Maria loves him she only wants what is best for him so she encourages him to visit Ellen. This story deals with his decision and other challenges that they will face. The story contains action and challenges around every corner. The narrators do a great job of making the listener feel the emotions of these characters and thereby bringing the story to life.

Does not disappoint

Loved this story from start to finish. I couldn’t stop listening. Ned is such a kind and caring man. His dilemma kept me listening, and his adventures across the ocean were such an interesting addition to the plot and story. I enjoyed this book which stands alone. Enjoyed and looking forward to more!

What about The Duo Team’s performance did you like?

very nice listening complementary voices.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this book. I generally like the stories to have a strictly Western setting, but his little jaunt to England worked very well. It was my first experience listening to a duo team audible, and it was nicely done. I enjoyed the story and production very much.

Don't Speak Without Thinking

Ned learns a hard lesson about being cautious of speaking rash words in the heat of emotions. In the end it almost costs him the love of his life. Things take a bad turn when he thinks he is in love with two women. And the path to discovering the nature of one women and his true feelings for both women will be a trip across the ocean and difficult path for him. This is a sweet, clean romance.
