Publisher's summary

What was to be a grand adventure for Melissa MacGregor - an escape from the wilds of her Scottish home into the whirl of the London social scene - seems to pale before the promise in the passionate gaze of Lincoln Ross Burnett. Though they exchange but a few words before parting after a chance encounter on her grandfather's lands, Melissa instantly knows this bold stranger is her destiny, while Lincoln realizes his heart has been claimed forever and he will never be complete until Melissa MacGregor is his bride.

But there are serious obstacles impeding the well-smitten Viscount Cambury's pursuit of glorious romance: 16 of them - all big and brawny, six named Ian and all named MacFearson. The bane of Lincoln's youth, Melissa's stifling, disapproving uncles are now determined to rob him of his newfound happiness. Yet he is equally resolved to confront the peril - and to pursue his exquisite obsession all the way to London...and to the ends of the earth, if necessary.

one question

Everything after the failed elopement was a mess and didn't add to story. One big question: why did lachlan listen to the brothers, after he came to London he did a complete 360 based of of foolish information. Oh he lost his temper when he was a kid so let's try to piss him off before giving him permission... really?

Not my favorite

I wanted to like this book as I loved the two main characters Melissa and Lincoln. But the deeper into the story got the more irritating the plot became. I couldn’t for the life of me seeing somebody holding something against me that happened when I was 10 years old. And Melissa’s uncles were way too overbearing and frustrating. I’d hoped that her father would come and put an end to the drama but then when he sided with the uncles I was done with the book. I managed to get to the end and found that the injustice of how Lincoln had been treated since he was a child by Melissa’s uncles was atrocious. I knew from the very first mention of the fight that Lincoln had to have had a fever in his attempts to make things right. I understand that as children they thought he was crazy but as adults they should’ve assumed that he was feverish. Anyway, the narrator made it bearable but this plot was not well thought out.

Fabulous

I really enjoyed listening to this audio, i had read "Love Me Forever" and the characters from this audio are apart of this story, it was good to listen to these characters being portrayed in proper clarity. This audio was enjoyable as it has many factors being related throughout the story that keeps it from being a drag or common. Light hearted, fun and some twists. Enjoy.

Disappointed

This was not worth the credit. I only kept listening because I thought it would get better. It never did. I listened to the first book in this series and thought it was alright. But this book should never have been written. I felt the plot was poor and the characters were boring. There was nothing to keep my interest. Save your credit and pass this one up. Not worth it
