Publisher's Summary

How can someone so smokin' hot be so bad in bed? I mean, Sean Cassidy is absolute rubbish. Rubbish. He is the epitome of walking, talking false advertising and I want a refund! Plus he's an arsehole. So...what is wrong with me that I can't stop thinking about him?

The Pixie

Lucy Fitzpatrick doesn't like rugby.

As the little sister of Ireland's most infamous rugby player, Lucy can't seem to escape the championship-sized shadow cast by her big brother, or her mother's frequent attempts to micromanage her future. Her rainbow hair is as free-spirited as her quest for inner peace, yet overbearing expectations keep bringing her down. And when she's down, her compulsive little problem lands her in seriously big trouble.

The Player

Sean Cassidy is a cold-hearted brute...or so he's been told. Frequently. By everyone.

His blonde locks, baby blues, and rock hard bod make ladies the world over drool with desire. As the rugby world's second most infamous player, he should be basking in his success. But Sean has never been content settling for second place, and his frequent confrontations with Lucy's big brother leave him cold. And when he's cold, his compulsive little problem lands him in the lap of Lucy Fitzpatrick.

The Plan

Sean has a problem only Lucy can solve. Lucy has a problem only Sean can fix. The solution seems obvious: you scratch my back, and I'll bail you out of jail. But when their business arrangement unexpectedly leaves Sean scorching hot and Lucy on the precipice of inner peace, can they convince the world - and Lucy's big brother in particular - that this is the real deal?

Either way, both the Player and the Pixie are about to teach each other some pretty monumental lessons about family, life, but most importantly, love.

The Pixie and the Player is a full-length, romantic comedy novel, can be enjoyed as a standalone, and is the second book in the Rugby Series.

    "Sean is my Cassanova!!"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely. The story is amazing, super original, sexy and fun, and it has its perfect amount of drama that made the story all much better, and the audiobook made it so real because the accents of the narrations were amazing, especially George Allan's, who made a flawless performance.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Player and the Pixie?

There are so many great moments in this book that I'll forever remember but if I tell them, they'd be spoilers. But I can say that I loved every moment Lucy and Sean opened their hearts. Those moments were when they were truly connected. <3

What does George Allan and KC Sheridan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I didn't read the book before listening to the audio, so my audiobook experience was my book experience too. I loved George Allan's narration. He was Sean through and through. His voice was Sean's voice. His accent was Sean's accent. The emotions he transmitted were Sean's emotions. George was flawless as the male narrator. On the other hand, KC Sheridan was an okay narrator. Most of the time I felt like her voice was so robotic, she had a singsong kinda voice. I only felt emotions in her performance when she was on dialogues, but Lucy's thoughts were a little hard for me to connect. Don't get me wrong, she did good, but in comparison with George's perfect performance, KC's was plane and didn't reach my expectations.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laugh out loud a lot while listening to this audiobook, but I think my heart ached more than I expected it to before I started this book. I laughed sooooo much with the The Hooker and The Hermit and The Cad and The Co-Ed, so I was expecting to do so in this book, but for me it had the perfect amount of funny moments and heart touching moments.

    Any additional comments?

I'm getting more and more obsessed with the books of these two authors together. I love the development of the characters, the originality of the stories and that despite this is "sports-romance", it doesn't feel the "usual kind of sports-romance.

    "another great story"

Sean and Lucy are totally office but you know what they say about opposite they can't help it but to magnifying each other. not saying you have to read the first book but it gives you an idea where the characters are at. these books are not Cliffhangers there their own characters which you enjoy two people trying to find themselves find each other. I really like the narrator's I thought they did a great job I enjoy this author I enjoyed this book and I can't wait to read the next one. lol listen

    "Love, love, love!"

I read the first book, hooker and the hermit an loved it! I didn't know HOW I was going to appreciate Sean Cassidy well enough to enjoy a love story about him. Especially pitted for love with his arch emenie's sister!

But they did it! They mastered it! I had all the emotions. All the understanding! All the intrigue and interest to make Pixie and player some of my FAVORITE characters. I adore their love story! Such a fun and engaging listen. :)

    "I love this story"

Like the first book in the series, I adore the male narrator. He nails Sean and all the characters completely (well, except for William's OK accent. That not so much). The female narrator, I didn't like as much but I grew used to it and thoroughly enjoyed this audio book for one of my favorite stories.

"I wasn't sure I would like it but I Loved It!!!"

After reading the first book I was unsure how
    L. H Coswell and Penny Reid were going to make Sean loveable but they did a fantastic job of making him a flawed but loveable character. I am a huge fan of both these authors and this book did not disappoint! The story was fun, witty and smart! I could have listened in one sitting and I will listen to it again. This is a great series and I can't wait for the 3rd book to get to audible!

    "Loved this book and audiobook"

How can you not love a story about a sexually inept posh male and a cleptomaniac rainbow haired girl. It's funny, angsty and us misfits are entitled to our happy ever afters too. If you aren't aware that flaws are humorous this isn't for you. Plus that male Irish accent.....drooling!
