Holiday Tale for Fans of a Young Knight's Quest

Any additional comments?

The Mission: He Taught Me to Hope Christmas Vignette is a continuation of the “Darcy and the Young Knight's Quest” series by P.O. Dixon. The short story begins not long after He Taught Me to Hope ends with Elizabeth and her young son, Ben Carlton, now living at Pemberley. Ben feeling sad for Darcy because he's lost both of his parents (instead of only one like him), desires nothing more than to have Darcy experience the best Christmas ever. He elicits the help of Georgiana and together they send invitations to Elizabeth’s sisters and parents as well as Darcy’s extended family, the Fitzwilliam’s, for Christmas. Considering Elizabeth used to be engaged to Mr. Collins and is now married to Jane, this is no small task Ben has set out to achieve. However, by the end, Jane and Lizzy are the best of sisters once more.

Pearl Hewitt did an outstanding job narrating, as she does with other Jane
Austen Fan Fiction books. Her voice for the young Ben is particularly good. My only problem with this story is that it was too short! I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest unbiased review.

Quick Holiday read and story continuation

What made the experience of listening to The Mission: He Taught Me to Hope Christmas Vignette the most enjoyable?

I read this over my Winter break and it was great to listen to a quick story line with characters I've enjoyed. This is a continuation of The Young Knight's Quest and was very enjoyable. Looking forward to the next book.

Have you listened to any of Pearl Hewitt’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Pearl Hewitt has become one of my favorite readers. She incorporates different voice inflections for the characters which adds depth and feeling to the story.

Any additional comments?

Looking forward to the next book.

Happy Christmas

Listening to Pearl Hewitt voice Ben's words enraptured me. I was disappointed when i heard references to the previous story because although i had read it last year the facts were vague. My solution was to buy the audible book (reduced price since I owned the kindle edition) of He Taught Me to Hope . What a great read oops listen! Pearl made the story come alive. I fell in love with Ben all over again. I especially loved the relationship between Darcy and Ben. This brought the spirit of Christmas to the Darcys and me.

A Surprise

Young Benn has plans, but he cannot implement them alone, so he asks Georgiana for help in writing the invitations. He wants to surprise his mother and new 'da', with the best Christmas ever, by inviting their family members (including an unforgiving Mr. Bennet), to help celebrate their first together as a family. A sweet vignette about family coming back together. As usual, Pearl Hewett does a beautiful job bringing Benn, Darcy, Lizzie and the others to life. Her voices are consistent throughout all 3 stories in the series and made me feel I was back visiting with old friends.
