Publisher's Summary

In order to pay for her father's life-saving cancer treatment, Holly Anderson offers herself up as a sacrifice and sells the vial of dragon's blood. In return, she will try to bear a Scottish dragon-shifter a child. While the dragonman assigned to her is kind, Holly can't stop looking at his twin brother. It's going to take everything she has to sleep with her assigned dragonman. If she breaks the sacrifice contract and follows her heart, she'll go to jail and not be able to take care of her father.

Even though he's not ready to settle down, Fraser MacKenzie supports his twin brother's choice to take a female sacrifice to help repopulate the clan. Yet as Fraser gets to know the lass, his dragon starts demanding something he can't have - his brother's sacrifice.

Holly and Fraser fight the pull between them, but one stolen kiss will change everything. Will they risk breaking the law and betraying Fraser's twin? Or, will they find a way out of the sacrifice contract and live their own happily ever after?

Is there ever too much for love to overcome?

One of the pleasures of listening to a great story you read a couple of years earlier is to remember what you had almost forgotten. You start to remember why you loved these characters. With the author's dragons, another pleasure is listening to old friends and especially with the accents the wonderful of the superb Matthew Lloyd Davies.
The dilemma was Holly coming as the first sacrifice in many years, as Fergus' sacrifice only to meet his twin, Fraser who recognized her as his true mate. They tried to ignore the pull. It just created more issues to let her meet Fergus and not make him aware of their connection. Nothing beats a mate pull. The twins close relationship is tested almost beyond repair.
Holly wants Fraser but doesn't want to come between the brothers and she can't stay with her father so ill.
There is plenty to keep them apart. However, dragons have strength of mind and body. Love, human and beast win out—don't they?
There is plenty of action, and not just in the bedroom. Enemies of Lockguard reemerge and Holly is their target.
Do not miss this in both formats.

A heartfelt dilemma

This is book one of the Lochguard Highland Dragon series and it intertwines with The Stonefire Dragons series, yet stands on it's own.

This story is about the first sacrifice on Lochguard in 15 years. Finn the leader of the Scottish clan has worked everything out down to the letter, what could possible go wrong?

Well the sacrifice could fall for the wrong brother and chaos could erupt....

Holly Anderson has agreed to become a sacrifice in order to save her father's life. She goes in willingly, hoping to serve her 6 months sentence, as she see's it, and get out without the sacrifice of actually having to birth a Scottish dragon man's baby. Now if she could only choose the father of her unborn little dragon, forgot the one she truly wants, not go to jail and still saves her dad, life would be perfect.

Fraser Mackenzie is the twin Holly's been assigned to and he can't stop wanting her. She is his true mate but his brother Fraser's future. What's a poor dragon man to do but fight it and keep it all a secret. Too bad Holly feels the same strong passions for him as he does for her. Oh and that his dragon is hell bent on not letting her go and tormenting him for the rest of his life if he doesn't claim her by impregnate her now!

This is a book full of sacrifices and dilemma's in so many ways that once you start listening to it you aren't gonna want to stop. I loved the conflict in this book and how so many different characters were introduced at a nice steady flow, while also hearing from a few members of the stonefire clan as well.

Jessie Donovan once again pulls you into her Dragon clan world with her humor, plots and family drama that you can't help but wait for the next book to come out.

Scottish Dragons

Would you listen to The Dragon's Dilemma again? Why?

Yes I would listen again. I enjoy these stories and the rapport that all the characters have with each other.

What other book might you compare The Dragon's Dilemma to and why?

Celia Kyle has a series about dragons that I have really enjoyed also. They both have awesome dragons, sassy females who are willing to do anything for their mates. They have the great rapport with a lot of sarcasm that I find entertaining.

Which character – as performed by Matthew Lloyd Davies – was your favorite?

I think Lorna was one of my favorites. The command she has of her family and her ability to take in all of them with their strengths and faults.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Promised to one, but falling for another. Hard enough to decide what to do.....but twins!!

Any additional comments?

I love the way all the stories connect. You don’t have to read them in order but they are a lot of fun to read in order.

WOW! That's all I can say for Book 1

Wow! I love Jessie's dragon books (Stonefire Dragon Clan) but she out did herself with the first Lochguard Highland book! This had it all, Love, Betrayal, Suspence, Sadness, dominance (both genders) and a HEA, which is what we always want at the end. The MacKenzie family is awesome and I can't wait to read more about their families and the Lochguard Clan.

it was truly an amazing listening experience.

I love listening to the story. This is one series that I continue to come back too. It interesting to watch the chatacter change with Fraser. It shows how a family no matter blood related or not can come together to help one another.

Audio ARC Review- The Dragon's Dilemma

I loved this audio book! I loved the family feel to it especially with the twins. This may be because I have twins myself + 1 (mine are all boys but still). I could really relate to this family, and for me that's sometimes hard to do with fiction novels. With this story I was able to get lost in a super awesome fantasy world, but was also able to bring my family along with me I my head...if that makes any sense. my favorite part was how the brothers made up. the narrator was as always wonderful. I constantly wonder how he keeps all the different voices and characters straight, but he does and he does it well! I highly recommend this audio book.

Great!

Any additional comments?

Really enjoyed this book! It was so good and it was nice to get the whole story in one instead of instalments (I get impatient for the story!). Happy to see one of the twins find their mate! Can't wait for Fergus's story next and I hope Faye gets a story too! I'm a little suspicious about her and Grant!

Dragon's Dilemma

Love the humour and sappy light romance story for a change to my normal more in depth book. Will gladly listen to more light bantering throughout the next book.
