Publisher's Summary

"I am Dageus MacKeltar, a man with one good conscience and 13 bad ones, driven to sate my darkest desires...."

From his penthouse lair high above Manhattan, Dageus looks out over a glittering city that calls to the darkness within him. A 16th-century Scot trapped between worlds, he is fighting a losing battle with the 13 Druids who possess his soul, dooming him to an eternity of sexual pursuit.

When Chloe Zanders, student of antiquities, is drawn into his world, she finds the insatiable alpha male an irresistible lure. Before long, she is caught up in an ancient prophecy that will sweep her back in time to medieval Scotland. Plunged into a world of timeless magic and dark seduction, she will soon face the challenge of a lifetime: fighting 13 evil spirits for the heart of one irresistible man.

Great Scot! Don't miss our other titles in the Highlander series.

Amazing!

Karen Marie Moning gives her readers a great story and a descriptive look into the mid-century world of Scottland as well. The characters personalities draw you into their world so you just can't put the book down. And now, with Phil Gigante speaking it aloud, you get a great voice reading you a great book. It doesn't get better than that!

Best book in this series!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I like all of these books, but this was my favorite. If you like time travel books you will love these.

What other book might you compare The Dark Highlander to and why?

Can't wait for the next book.

Have you listened to any of Phil Gigante’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Gigante does a good job but the female voice is a little over done.

My favorite of the series!!!!!!!

I have loved all of Ms. Moning's Highlander Series, but I believe this was my favorite. I love it when good wins over darkness. This narrator is one of my favorites. I highly recommend this book, but start with the first book in the series, their all worth listening to.

OMG, Daegus

OMG, this book was lusty. I was angry with my husband for not being Daegus. I got hot and sizzling during parts of the books. Oh yeah the book, (clearing my head) the plot was exceptional. I would purchase this book again and even pay more. Ohhhh, lord, lord, lord.

Took my breath away

This is the final book in the Highlander series by Karen Marie Moning. I am a great Diana Gabaldon fan and I must say I found this series is as wonderful as the Outlander books.

In "The Dark Highlander" we follow the life and love of Dageus MacKeltar through time and back. Suffice to say the characters are wonderful, sassy, humorous, and heart wrenching.

The story is complicated and intriguing. I found myself holding my breath and crying at times throughout. We pick up where the fourth book ended and learn more of the characters from "Kiss of the Highlander". This is one of the reasons I think I enjoyed this book so much. I felt bereft when "Kiss of the Highlander" ended and wanted more. I was totally delighted and never let down to this end.

The characters are charming, at times ruthless and always deep and rich. Adam Black returns initially to my chagrin. Without giving away too much he is in fine form and I found myself liking him more and more.

Phil Gigante narrates all of the books in the series. His accents are flawless to my untrained ear. So I can only offer that I enjoyed the narration with no problems and a great deal of joy.

I highly recommend the entire series.

Love these books!

I love these books. I read them first because I couldn't find them on audio. Except for 5 and 7. And then I listened to them. And I still need 7. Audibles took so long to get them I had to get them from elsewhere. Please get book 7 Audibles! That's one I haven't read yet!
