Unconventional Love

I really enjoyed this story and its unconventionalness. Poppy and William are both strong and powerful personalities but they compliment each other not battle like you'd think. I really enjoyed that books were a big part of this because I enjoy being reminded of other book lovers. While the start of this romance was unconventional I really enjoyed it. Lacie and Marcio did a great job narrating this story and making it all the sweeter.

rivals to lovers short read

This book was cute. It was a little cliche but had all the things a rivals to lovers romance should have. They had good chemistry and the narrators were the best part of making it come alive. There wasn't anything I could find wrong with the book!

Entertaining

I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. This is book 3 of a series and I did not read the other two but this one did a job all on its own. Loved the interactions between William and Poppy. Both are very professional while still falling for each other. The narrators made the story come alive and as I listened I felt like I was watching these two on TV. Well done.

Unconventional and Perfectly Perfect

An unconventional match up, William and Poppy are business rivals, but they're forced to try to work together for a client. The publisher was thinking outside of the box, but it could have been a complete disaster. Rather that being oil and water, I see more of a yin and yang dynamic. Completely charming and complimentary to one another, we get a romantic couple to root for. The writing flows effortlessly, and we really get to know both William and Poppy. I have loved other books by this author, and expect this trend to continue. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.

Billionaire for the win!

Competitiveness always if good foreplay and this couple has plenty of it! William and Poppy are rivals pushed to work together by a company looking to gain their business. At the end of their collaboration, the romance publisher will decide which company to work for. The situation is tense, the chemistry between the two incredible, so will they be able to work together? And in the end, what will happen when one is chosen over the other? Leslie North writes these Jameson men with passion for their jobs and for their women. I loved this story the best of the series, finding the couple to be engaging, and their banter a lot of fun to listen to. Poppy is especially enticing to me for her business acumen, making the competitive value between the two very worthy opponents leading to sizzling chemistry.

The duet narration of this story by Marcio Catalano and Lacie Glennox is spot-on. The two have incredible symmetry while narrating and blend together beautifully. They both have great voices and good comedic timing for their banter together.

Sexy rivals

Hot and interesting story. I gave 4 stars because the story seemed to be missing something. I've read a lot of Leslie Norths books and love them all.

The narrators, I feel, could have put more emotion in their reading. Perhaps that's what I felt was missing in the story?

My favorite of the series!

I loved this book by Leslie North. Competition is great. I loved how William and Poppy had immediate chemistry and were working together yet while being rivals. The setting for this book was brilliant. Having seen discussion panels for book signings I could really see the author panel in my mind. I love how the author includes such vivid imagery in her story. The emotions in this book were very realistic and believable. Both Marcio Catalano and Lacie Glennox were perfect for this book. I loved their banter. It felt real and not forced. This book is part of a series and a standalone listen. There are cameo mentions of William's brothers in this story that only add to the book. This book is my favorite of the series.

Ms. North's eclectic style and emotion packed stories continue to delight and impress this reader.
