Publisher's Summary

A Wall Street Journal bestselling series.

Former rock star Xander Sinclair may be out of rehab, but he's not out of the woods. Still haunted by his parents' murders, he has secluded himself in his Amesport mansion and dodges any attempted contact from his two brothers. Struggling not to fall into relapse, he believes he's battling his demons alone.

That is, until Samantha arrives to work as his live-in housekeeper. Effortlessly charming and cheerful and wickedly sexy, she challenges Xander to abandon his isolation. The two embark on a fiery relationship - one that could change them both forever.

Just when Xander is on the verge of reclaiming his life, he discovers that Samantha has been hiding things from him...things that could shatter the fragile future they've begun to build together. For Xander, escaping the past is no longer an option. It's time to face it - even when some secrets seem too heavy for the heart to bear.

J.S. Scott did it again!

I absolutely love the Billionaire's series. J.S. Scott is an amazing writer and this book kept me interested from the beginning to the end. Her stories take you to a beautiful place and leave you blissfully lighthearted. If you add the talented Elizabeth Powers to the mix, you have a winner.

BOOK 6 AND SHE’S DONE IT AGAIN.. A 5 STAR ROMANCE

Ms Scott has delivered another five star Sinclair romance filled with heart, heat, multi-layered damaged characters, tragedy, addiction, courage, forgiveness and love. It’s a powerful love story and a powerful story of love.. brotherly love as the Sinclairs unite again.

Xander Sinclair has never come to terms with the brutal deaths of his parents who were shot right in front of him.. then the intruder turned on him.. and left his mark all over Xander’s body. The deaths, the mutilation of his face and body and the guilt was too much for Xander so he turned to anything that would numb his thoughts. Now, four years later, he’s been through rehab and is living like an unsociable angry hermit.. until his loving brother Julian hires Samantha as a Housekeeper for him. And, even though it was a very rocky start, Samantha’s beauty, sex appeal, tender heart, inspiring words, understanding nature and thoughtful advice slowly tames the savage beast lurking within Xander. But Sam has her share of demons too.

Samantha is very successful at her chosen career but she’s thinking about taking a new path and relocating to Amesport for personal reasons. So, when Julian Sinclair offers her a job for the Summer as Housekeeper for Xander Sinclair, Sam is happy to help.. and prepared for the worst. And that’s exactly what she gets initially.. a bad tempered ex rock star with painful heartbreaking memories haunting him.. but Sam sees beyond Xander’s scars and bad attitude. Slowly Sam coaxes Xander out of his self-imposed seclusion, to forgive himself, to live again and to love.. but Sam has heartbreaking memories of her own.. and will she take her own advice and forgive herself.

This was a bitter-sweet dual POV story of two separate acts of violence and murder, the mental anguish and guilt felt by the survivors, how they overcame it and how they fell in love during their journey. Xander had to forgive himself.. overcome his demons and accept that he deserved to live.. deserved to be happy.. deserved to love.. and deserved to be loved. Xander and Sam’s losses were heartbreaking and huge.. but, through chemistry, passion and powerful words, they finally got the forgiveness they needed to get their HEA. JSS has written about two sweet yet damaged characters whose powerful back-stories intertwine, unite them and reshape them into two strong survivors who completely understand each other.

Worth a credit? It’s hot in places, emotional in others, it’s got loveable multi-layered damaged characters, there’s romantic scenes, swoonworthy scenes, character growth, it’s very sweet in parts, it’s got all the previous Sinclairs and it’s well narrated too. All things I love love love.. so YES, IMO, this awesome listen is so worth a credit.

Enjoyed it

Another steamy romance about the Sinclair billinaires. I waited a long time to read Xander's story. I like how strong the hero and heroine are. He was brave enough to heal for her and she was strong enough to draw the line when she had to be. I recommend this to romantic who can't stand a spineless heroine and guys with deep pockets who spoil their women.

True Romance

Like all of JS Scott's books, this was another true romantic story, this time between Xander and Samantha. Two people who had been through so much and each handling it on opposite ends of the spectrum.

Elizabeth Powers continues to perform at the top of her narration skills with each of the Sinclair books.

it was okay

l have listened to all her books. they are good but sadly you kind of know it's always a Sinclair man rescuing a young young out of something. They get married, live happily ever after, the usual. But still I enjoyed it.

Ok

I’ve listened to the entire series and have enjoyed all of them. I was really looking forward to this one hoping for a rock star story. For me it needed more real time rock star drama/angst. It wasn’t a complete miss just not what I was hoping for.

Very Intense

I loved this book. Sander was so far gone and for Sam to come in and just be there was so good. There were quite a few little twists that blew my mind but kept me listening to the whole book without a pause!

Loved Xander & Sam!

Xander Sinclair has always been a mystery to me in the previous books, and so I couldn’t wait to finally get his book! Although I am sad that it’s the final Sinclair book (Jan, please can we have more?!).

I loved finally finding out what happened to Xander that fateful night when his parents were brutally murdered. My heart broke for his self blame for their deaths, and how his life spiralled out of control as a result. I loved the way Samantha came into his life. I loved how patient and understanding she was. The way JS Scott tied these two characters together was amazing. And of course I loved seeing the return of the loving Sinclair men and their wives. I am going to miss this family!

STOP USING THE WORD CHANNEL instead of vagina!

It is an annoying and archaic practise...You might as well call a penis a tube!! I also felt ripped off by this book as it did not follow on from JS Scotts other books entitled Billionaire...The plot was way too predictable...It was exactly like 10 other books in this genre ... not worth the money
