I love the SURVIVOR series.

I have been an avid fan of Mary Balogh's books since I first began to read REGENCY ROMANCE in the 1990's. This series is; in my opinion; one of her best.

Love can be had even when strangers marry...

He is blind and rich. She is poor and quiet. He is almost trapped into marriage by her cousin but she intercedes. She is thrown out of her cousin's household. He decides he must marry her as she has no one.
Their journey to love is sweet. This is a gentle story.

Fabulous

I have both the kindle version of The Arrangement and the Audio version. I didn’t miss a word in either version. The story is beautiful the characters enduring. Rosalyn Landor is a gifted reader.

Sweet heart warming story

I enjoyed the soothing, healing, loving flow of this story.
Both main characters are a good match and the story of their relationship is pleasant. There is sweetness and a sense of peace when listening to Mary Balogh's stories and I have enjoyed this series so far " The survivors' club".
The narrator was excellent.

best of this author I've listened to so far

I've read a few of this author's books, some I've enjoyed, some were boring. this one was by far the one I liked most.

Wonderful

This is one of those romances you want to read over and over again. It was refreshing and interesting without a villainous plot to it. Sophia and Darleigh were great together. Wish it was longer so we could have known what baby they got and what happened maybe in a years time but guess it is left up to the imagination. This book does not indicate but it would made a great follow on with some of the friends. Overall, a good day's listen.

Very average romance story

Very predictable, repetitive, and over-written book, with the mandatory segment of unlikely eroticism. Sadly, it's like most romances written these days. I do not understand the need of authors to repeat the same information and same lame worries numerous times during the story, unless it is to pad the number of words. I find it hard to believe that a Victorian virgin who finds out about sex just hours before her marriage turns into a sex-starved creature in her marriage bed, nor does this add quality to the story. It comes across more like porn for women. Add to all this a few anachronistic touches, and the result is a book I personally did not enjoy very much. The reader did a fairly good job except when a character was described as pronouncing someone's name a certain way, she did not do that when speaking in that character's voice. That was just one small section of the book, but I think it was a very big error on her part. It made it sound like she wasn't listening to what she was saying. For that, she lost a star, but otherwise she did a good job, especially considering the tedium of the repetitive story.

Blind love loves blindly.

Lead characters are refreshingly less than perfect but perfectly noble. Pace is ponderous in places.
