The right man for the job?

When it came to protecting the innocent, Bobby Taylor was your man. But when his best friend, Wes, asked him to keep an eye on his little sister, Bobby desperately wanted to pass. Because to him, gorgeous redhead Colleen Skelly didn't look like anyone's kid sister. He doubted she was innocent. And he wanted to keep more than just his eye on her....

After years of trying to get magnificent Navy SEAL Bobby Taylor to herself—and away from the prying eyes of her meddling brother—Colleen had finally succeeded. Bobby was hers, if only for a few days. And she had her work cut out for her. She had to prove that she was a grown woman—and that he was all she would ever need in a man....

More of the same.

The Tall, Dark and Dangerous series is defiantly no Troubleshooters, but it is a nice romance. There is hardly any action in this book, when I think Suzanne Brockmann could have put lots more action in which would have made it way less slow. I can see how these books are a warm up for the Troubleshooter books. All the books in this series are similar, this one is good but not my favorite. This series should be read in order. Defiantly a sale kind of book. I didn't mind the narrator too much, although her Boston accent is atrocious.

ugh the narrator

I liked the story, but maybe because I had just listened to precious books, this narration was HARD for me. I LOVE suzanne brockman, but the book before showed Wes so withdrawn and a potential suspect and Bobby so serious. I really tried, but it was the worst California surfer accent. Joe Catalanato was Joe-can-no-toe. it was like no research of the author and precious books were done. ESPECIALLY where there are multiple books in the tall, dark, and dangerous series. Again, I LOVE Suzanne Brockmann and will continue to listen to her books, but this narration was HORRIBLE for this book!

Bobby gets shook up

Bobby Taylor finally takes the fall for Wes’ sister Colleen, whom he’s been crushing on for years, and vice versa.
Brockmann sets up Spaceman and Colleen’s friend Ashley in the upcoming release of Seal Camp - also why I’m rereading-listening to these stories again. And taking the time to post reviews.
There is nothing wrong with Fisher’s voice except, I wish she had more differentiation between male and female characters. A wimpy teenage geek boy sound just doesn’t work for these men.

Narrator has a strangled edge to her voice

It's a Suzanne Brockmann book. Always a solid choice, IMO. Suz has written quite a few books and her characters crossover from one book to another amazingly. However, if you are a person easily distracted or influenced by a narrator, you might want to READ this book and not LISTEN to it. The narrator has a strangled edge to her voice throughout most of the book. I have also never understood why a narrator doesn't do even a little research before being asked to narrate a book or why the producer wasn't stepping in to correct her pronunciation of Joe “Cat” Catalanotto. I've listened to almost all of Suz's books and no one has ever pronounced it the way this narrator does. Thankfully it only happens 2, possibly 3 times.

Ok book, don't miss it.

Would you listen to Taylor's Temptation again? Why?

I liked the continuation of the stories that she writes. I wished that a male or a female/male did the audiobook. It would seem more manly like the others in the series. All in all it's a ok book to listen to, I did like the story line and it was not so long to listen tot the voice.

Story good, voice not so good

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would recommend this book because the story is excellent and brings the other characters into this book.

Would you be willing to try another one of Alexandra Fisher’s performances?

Probably not. The voices sounded off, and some sounded so similar that you couldn't tell who was who.

Male voices sound weird

Sometimes it's hard for a female to do adult male character voices. She makes Bobby and Wes sound like they're in junior high school. A guy around 6'6 should have a much deeper voice, similar to Brad Garrett

This was my least favorite in this series.

Alex Fishers voice drove me nuts. I stopped several times in the course of listening to take a break. The story seemed to go on an on about the same thing. The last few chapters were better.

Not Brockman's best

What could Suzanne Brockmann have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

This book needed much less agonizing over whether Bobby was letting his best friend down by his attraction to his friend's sister, and more on something, anything else. The conflict is a good starting point, but shouldn't be the middle and end as well. A little more action would have been nice too.

Any additional comments?

Having read most of Suzanne Brockmann's books, and thoroughly enjoyed many of them, I've got to say this is my least favorite.
