Publisher's summary

Juliet Lamprey is having the time of her life running her successful bakery, Tart, when Gideon Carter comes back into her life. Returning home to help his grandfather run the family on the farm, Gideon is back for good. When they meet again, the spark between them is immediate, and it isn't long before the former childhood friends play catch up in bed. That's not good news for local lawyer Cal Whaley. Though the sexually open but strictly monogamous Cal has loved Jules for a long time, he's hardly ever taken it further than friendship. When he sees her start to fall for Gideon, he knows he has to make his move or risk losing her forever.

Who would have anticipated that all three of them would connect on such an intimate level? The trio's scalding liaisons take them places they've never dreamed. But such an intensely passionate and unusual relationship comes with equally complicated emotions, and when Jules must suddenly leave town, she wonders if she'll have a choice to make when she returns....

Tart

Jules, Gideon & Cal. This is one of my favorite Lauren Dane books.

These 3 find a way to have a relationship and be there for each other. I think what I liked best was how honest they all are to make this kind of relationship work.

It is also really freaking HOT, no lie these three are scorching together. It isn’t just all the hot sexy times that makes this book so hot it’s the connection these 3 have for each other.

The need to be with people who love you and want to take care of you through it all.

I am not a huge fan of the narration I think it would have been better to have had a male narrator in the mix.

Disappointing narrator

Would you try another book from Lauren Dane and/or Anadelle Waters?

I have other Lauren Dane books on my Kindle. If Anadelle Waters is the narrator, I'll give the book a pass. I enjoy Lauren Dane. Anadelle Waters does ok with voices and narrating regular life, but she is totally passionless when it comes to the sexual parts. And in a book in the erotica section, that just doesn't cut it.

What did you like best about this story?

Seeing how the characters learned to communicate better with each other as their relationship deepened.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

She was so passionless during the sex scenes that I quit listening to the book after only a couple of sex scenes and finished it on my kindle.

Do you think Tart needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I think since there are other books in the Brown family line and in the Delicious line we'll see the characters again. It will be nice to see how their relationship develops.

Any additional comments?

Please don't let Annadelle Waters narrate any other erotica!

Story line is found in the last hour

Would you try another book from Lauren Dane and/or Anadelle Waters?

Unfortunately I purchased the series on sale so I don't have a choice. Anadelle Waters does a good job in the narration

What was most disappointing about Lauren Dane’s story?

Lauren Dane spent 95% of the book on the sex. There were so many opportunities for Ms Dane to make a story line out of the strife with the heroines family and she instead chose to focus on the three way relationship which she had already discussed in details with her first book.

What about Anadelle Waters’s performance did you like?

It was nice, easy to follow and wasn't grating on the nerves.

What character would you cut from Tart?

None they are all needed but there could have been a lot more done with the fathers new family, the brother and even the mother. Just more madness brought into the story would have been refreshing.

Any additional comments?

Since I have the whole series I'll wait a few months to listen to the other books. Sad, so sad for a writer with skill but instead chooses to be boring.

Good but confusing without reading prequel

While I enjoyed most of Tart, I was confused in the beginning because I hadn't read the first book in this series. (Audible doesn't list Sway as book 1 but I understand it should be). Also some characters are a cross-over from the last book of the Brown Family series.

Good Read

Love that this series of books is a continuation of the Brown Family series. This book has great steamy adult scenes. I liked the fact that Ms. Dane addressed the issue of family being supportive and non supportive of non-traditional relationships and living life for your own happiness is more important than living it trying to please others.
Characters are refreshing. All three are successful in their industry, including the lead female, Jewels. Nice not to read, or listen to another poor girl meets billionaire man & they live happily ever after.

Good story

I liked this story. I thought it had great characters with good development. Some of the scenes were very HOTT! The narrator did a good job with the different characters throughout the story.

Wonderful story, wonderful narration!

As always, Dane wrote an excellent story with characters I loved. The narration was great, too! The menage was so hot and the steamy scenes were quite fun. This book goes into my re-listen pile. ;)

Very good!

I was surprised how much I liked this book. I am a fan of ménage but I usually stay clear if cooking romances. But Tart has me thinking I need to reconsider! All the characters are very lovable.
