Tangled Up in You

I have to say that the female performance was good for Maddie, but I really disliked her voice for the male lead, Mick… his character came across as very masculine, good looking, tough- the voice just did not cut it for me. It made the book almost boring.

Maddie’s character was complex and had been throughout the series. I liked her no- nonsense, not afraid of anything attitude, but knew she had a softer side. It only took Mick to search it out, but he didn’t really know what to do with it.

The chemistry was hot between them, but I found Mick did not know how to say “I’m sorry”when he should have. He said some terrible things and this was not cleared up.

Out of the whole series this was my least favorite book.

A good continuation

I love the writers friends series. This one is pretty good. Working my way to the last book.

The Best In The Series

I find this one to be my favorite out of the series so far. Very emotionally engaging, adventurous, and funny. I had fun with it.

Not my favorite

While the storyline was good, it ended too abruptly. There are several untied ends and it just didn't feel done.

Also, the narrator was super awkward in parts. some of the dialogue was much too stiff and didn't feel at all natural of the books in this series I've read, this is my least favorite.

Meh

This was third book in the Writer Friends series and a cross over into he Truely series. I’m sorry to say, this wasn’t my favorite of Gibson’s books. I liked it well enough, I didn’t quit reading it half way through or anything. But I liked it more for its references to other characters from her other books, and the chance to see how their stories went on past the end of their books than for the main story of this book.

New favorite writer

Discovered Rachel Gibbons last summer and have now read/listened to three of her books. Love them! Can’t wait to read more

Enjoyable romance

Any additional comments?

Even though the past is tragic, this isn't a heavy read. The plot was very believable and the chemistry between Mick and Maddie was palpable. I can see me listening to this one again.

Grrrrr

Struggled to finish, but I did reluctantly. I could not get over the way she couldn't tell him who she was. I usually enjoy Rachel Gibson but this book could have had similar results without all the lying and name calling.

Rachel never fails to please!

Great story! I love how Rachel throws in characters from other stories, this one has Nick and Delaney from Truly Madly Yours. Narration is good, too.
