Publisher's summary

Teddy: If there's one thing I don't do, it's commitment. You don't become an award-winning photographer by staying in one place. I'm always on the road, looking for the next shot, the next award, the next hot body. Which is how I end up on Dr. James Marian's front porch in the middle-of-nowhere Alaska. He's known as the Wildlife Whisperer, and I want to photograph him in action. He's reluctant at first, but I can be persuasive.

Soon enough I have him in bed saying yes over and over and over again, but my ability to shoot and scoot is frozen by a Denali snowstorm.

Jamie: I always thought of myself as the marrying type. Until I got left at the altar. Now I have a new motto: never commit and never fall in love. So when a cocky nature photographer decides I'm the key to his next masterpiece, it seems like the perfect arrangement: the hotshot's only in town for a brief assignment and then he'll be gone. No commitment, no strings, and no chance of getting my heart broken again.

There's just one problem: I think I'm falling in love. Now I'm afraid that maybe I'm the marrying type after all. And he definitely is not.

I loved the setting in this book. The wilderness and all the wild animals were great. I felt like I was there with them. Teddy & Jaime had serious chemistry and I fell in love immediately. I love how they tried to be friends (heavy on the tried). The ending was super sweet. Left my heart happy <3

Michael Pauly did a good job but I have to say, I could do without the angry yelling sex scenes. At the end of every sex scene he doesn't sound like he's enjoying it, he sounds like he is yelling in anger.

Couldn't stop listening!!

I have fallen for the Made Marian series! I listen to the book while driving and I find myself driving slower and taking the long way home just so I can listen to more of the story. You will not be disappointed.

OUTSTANDING!☆☆☆☆☆👍

Jamie & Teddy's story was outstanding. I loved everything about it. In fact, I'm truly enjoying this series. I am a hugh fan of Lucy Lennox and have listened to practically all of her books with great fulfillment. She's a beast with her writing, creating of her characters, imagination, and stories. I love the Marian family. They exhilarate what a family should be. Michael Pauley, his narration and voice acting is superb. Anyone looking to listen to a series with a great family unit, characters you'll root for, kooky aunties, and awesome stories, I highly recommend you start with this series. 🙂

A sweet opposites attract, low angst romance!

Story : ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Narration :⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Jamie and Teddy were absolutely adorable!!

I recommend reading this in the series order but it can be enjoyed as a standalone as well.

Lucy Lennox's writing style is so wholesome and her characters are warm and relatable.

The storyline was interesting and I loved the chemistry between Jamie and Teddy.

It was relatively low on the angst and high of the fluff which is my favorite combination.

The narration was smooth, flawless and enjoyable.

Cover art

I really could not wait to listen to this book. But I debated about getting the book because i didn't like the picture on the cover. I really like the story and would have missed out. That goes to show not to judge the book by the cover.

Impressed, Amazed, Elated.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely!

Any additional comments?

I have absolutely loved reading every single Made Marian story. I can't tell you which I loved reading more. They're all fantastic and they all have their own dynamic to offer. I love every single couple. But if I absolutely had to rank them from 1-4 (the number out so far) Taming Teddy, I think, would have been number 4. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved it, but Teddy and Jamie have a different dynamic as individuals and also as a couple because they don't directly interact quite as much as the other couples do in their stories. Whereas the other couples where directly interacting throughout the majority of their stories, Teddy and Jamie spend a few bouts of time apart because there is a lot of other good stuff going on in the story. So I think because of that, if I had to choose then they would be number four. Why did I bore you with that explanation? Because I needed you to know that, in order to be able to impress upon you just how amazing that means Michael Pauley is at narrating the Made Marian stories. I loved Borrowing Blue the ebook and I loved Borrowing Blue the audio. I loved them the same. The audio brought out new dimensions but it didn't make me love the story more, it was just that it gave me all kinds of warm tinglys to get to hear the story brought to life. To hear Tristan and Blue. But Taming Teddy on audio? OMG Wow! It made the story itself so much more for me. Why? It's not that anything was added of course, it's that hearing Jamie and Teddy tell their story helped me know them better. I don't personally have people in my circle who use terms of endearment in everyday speech. Darlin' , sweetheart, honey etc. I had zero issue with Teddy being someone who does speak that way. I had no problem with his endearments, in fact I actually really liked that aspect to his personality. It was cute, it was charming, it was funny. But I'm not familiar with it in my own personal experience to have really gotten a feel for what it's like to listen to someone like him. Well, listening to Michael Pauley, it was just so natural and it really helped me to get the full Teddy experience :) It just brought everything to life and made it real. Like listening to two of my friends tell me their story on the phone. It wasn't just as good as the reading the book, it was so much more because it was a full experience. I don't know how to say it any better. I just know that listening to Michael Pauley read Taming Teddy far exceeded my expectations which is really mind boggling because my expectations were already high from listening to Borrowing Blue, and there's not much that can be done to improve upon Lucy Lennox's Made Marion series because they are absolutely just A++ reads.

That's what I thought about the audio and this is my Amazon review of the ebook:

To begin, I received an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review. However, I ended up purchasing Taming Teddy about....ten minutes after it went live. So what does that tell you? Well I guess it only confirms that I loved the first book Borrowing Blue. So how did I feel about Taming Teddy? Let's just say that I plan to buy the next book even faster :)

I loved Borrowing Blue because of the witty banter, lovable MC's, the honesty, the easy flow of reading that made me not want to put the book down. The brilliance of Taming Teddy is that the author gave me all of that, plus so much more, only presented in a completely different way. One of my biggest fears, besides spiders and heights of course, is reading and loving the first book in a series and then going to read the subsequent books in the series. I loved the first one so much and I'm terrified that the next won't be nearly as good. That the author gave everything to the book before. It happens and it's heartbreaking. But not in this case! And what's awesome is as I mentioned before, I got all of the elements I love and even more.

Taming Teddy is a bit more serious. It has more weight to the story. The banter in this book is a little less jovial and fun loving and more sarcastic and dry. The MC's were both lovable great guys but they didn't hit it off immediately. They didn't have that lightning strike moment like Tristan and Blue did where from the get go it was easy and just meant to be. Teddy and Jamie had to work a little for their relationship. And speaking of work! It was really interesting to have both of their careers incorporated in the story. It was a nice and interesting extra element and was conveyed in such a way that it felt like the author has personal experience with it all.

Now Taming Teddy can be read as a standalone technically. It's not until nearer the end that elements of Borrowing Blue (the family) emerge. Will you still enjoy it? Yes, just not nearly as much and why would you want to deprive yourself of the full experience? Borrowing Blue is the book you're going to smile throughout the whole thing and just fall in love with absolutely everyone. Taming Teddy is going to make you smile, make your heart hurt a little, broaden your wildlife horizons, and of course also make you fall in love. They are two different books, for two different reading experiences, and they're both awesome. Now I await eagerly for the next story!
