Publisher's Summary

She was the one who got away....

Ten years ago, Brent Nichols let the love of his life slip through his fingers. It's his greatest regret, especially since she's all but disappeared. But when the gorgeous and captivating woman walks into his life unexpectedly, he's determined to win her back. Whatever it takes, he won't make the same mistake twice.

Easier said than done....

Shannon Paige has hardened her heart to the man she was once engaged to be married to. After the way he left, and after the hell she's been through with her checkered family, there's no way she's letting him into her life again. The problem is, the second she sees him, he's more handsome and charming than before. And she's torn between wanting to fight with him and wanting to sleep with him - maybe both. Soon they fall into each other's arms, consumed with a desire that burns through the years.

But if these two fiery lovers are going to have a real second chance at this kind of intense, passionate, bone-deep love, he'll have to give her his whole heart, and she'll have to give up all the secrets from her messy past.

And that messy past is about to spill over into her carefully constructed present....

Another Nichols Brother Wins My Heart

Would you listen to Sweet Sinful Nights again? Why?

I absolutely would, because I love Lauren Blakely's writing, and Josh Goodman did a great job narrating.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sweet Sinful Nights?

I loved Brent's YouTube bit, as well as Shannon's video montage. Showed real insight into how they feel about each other.

What does Josh Goodman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It's always interesting to hear a book read by someone else, because they bring their own interpretation. I love Josh Goodman's voice, and feel like it's a great match for this story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, I just really enjoyed the whole thing.

Any additional comments?

I couldn't recommend this audio book any more highly.

One amazing story about second chances!

This book totally captivated me from the beginning and all throughout the book! Brent and Shannon's love is breathtakingly beautiful and will pull on all your heartstrings!
Brent is incredibly hot and swoon worthy with a dirty mouth and heart of gold. He made a big mistake in letting Shannon go years ago and he is determined to not make the same mistake twice!
Shannon is a sexy choreographer with a heartbreaking past but she is one strong heroine and has made her way in life! When these two are together, you can feel that they are made for each other! Will they be able to move on from the past and the mistakes made?
There is also the intrigue and suspense from Shannon's family past that will at times have you on edge! Can't wait to uncover more about this family especially Shannon's 3 hot brothers!!
Another best seller by Lauren Blakely!

Lauren Blakely & Josh Goodman are a winning Combo!

If you could sum up Sweet Sinful Nights in three words, what would they be?

Captivating, sweet & sexy

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sweet Sinful Nights?

When Brent kept proving that he was a changed man and was committed to putting Shannon first but still being his dominant self.

What about Josh Goodman’s performance did you like?

I liked his inflections and the voice changes were all very well done.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Who knew Sweet & Sexy Second Chances came in Vegas?

Any additional comments?

This second chance romance is a fabulous start to Lauren Blakely's new Sinful Nights series! She captured me with this sweet, sexy, and emotional story from the very first page and never let go. She created 2 very passionate characters from 2 very different worlds who couldn't get enough of each other. When youth, ambition, and pride get in the way they break apart and go their separate ways. Then when life brings them back together 10 years later, they can't deny their love that never died. This time they are older and wiser but can they overcome their hurt feelings and pride to start over fresh? Brent Nichols has always regretted his ultimatum that cost him the love of his life, and now that they are working together he will do whatever it takes to prove to her that he is not the same man he was 10 years ago. Shannon Paige-Prince has suffered several heartbreaking events in her life and has built walls to protect herself. She does not want to risk the devastation she endured the last time she lost Brent. But Brent has always been her light in a world that has brought her so much darkness and she needed him to fill the sad places inside her with his light. Brent is sexy, funny, caring and tender but also exquisitely commanding. Shannon is strong, intelligent, kind and loves to give as much as she gets. Together with their fiery passion and combustible chemistry they begin the exploration of who they are now, but is it enough? I love that both Brent and Shannon are not angsty but more mature and approach their opinions and actions accordingly. They are honest and genuine and I found them to be charming, fun and very believable. I fell in love with all of Shannon's family and look forward to reading more about her intriguing brothers. The other secondary characters were wonderful as well and add so much depth along with a bit of mystery and suspense to this story. This is a 4 book series that follows different couples but also a longer story line that has me hooked already. I can't wait for book #2!

Sinfully HOT!

As expected, Lauren Blakely delivers again with "Sweet Sinful Nights". This is book one in her new Sinful Night Series. This is Brent Nichols and Shannon's story. And what a story it is!

Hold on to your pants because the narrator is super hot and makes this story really come to life!

Brent is the equally sexy brother of Clay Nichols from the Seductive Night Series. Not only is Brent hot as hell, he's funny and loving too.

Brent met and fell in love with Shannon 10 years ago in college. Their love and passion was hot as fire. Shannon had such a hard life and her childhood was difficult. Brent's love was able to take that all away. Both striving for success, Brent as a comedian and Shannon is a dance choreographer, they let their relationship break. Neither willing to budge on their career path, hurtful words were spoken and the relationship was broken.

Fast forward 10 years and these two cross paths again in Las Vegas. Brent is no longer doing comedy full time, but is the owner of a very successful chain of nightclubs. Shannon now goes by the name Shay Sloan and she owns her own company called Shay Productions. She choreographs Vegas style dance productions and is trying to get into one of Brent's clubs. She doesn't expect to meet with Brent only his business partner. Both Brent and Shannon are floored when they see the other at this meeting. Neither can deny the feelings from the past that come slamming into them.

This book is their hot and passionate journey to the past and the present. You will definitely not want to read this in the presence of others unless you want them to witness you getting completely hot and bothered. I fell completely head over heels for Brent! I love getting small bits of Clay and Julia and meeting Shannon's strong and protective brothers. Brent and Shannon's story is wonderfully resolved, but there's so much more story to tell and I can't wait to see how it all unfolds.

Story was just Okay...

Would you try another book from Lauren Blakely and/or Josh Goodman?

Yes for Josh Goodman but I'm done with Lauren Blakely

Any additional comments?

The story was very predictable, and I just couldn't find any redeeming qualities to the plot. As with all of this authors stories it dragged and dragged with sentences of unnecessary dribble. I jumped over paragraphs to get to dialogue.

I couldn't stand Brent. He came across like a money hungry/superficial man from 21 to 31. If he loved her so much why did he never go back for her in 10 years? As for Shannon, I get over reacting at 21, but at 31 she still seemed out in left field and dingy. First time I’ve disliked both main characters.

I read along with the audio and the male narrator did a good job, just not much voice difference for any of the main or secondary characters.

I finished it just so I could get a happily ever after for this tortured coupled. But, I was so glad when I finished it. Okay read.

Sweet Sinful Nights Indeed

Would you listen to Sweet Sinful Nights again? Why?

Heck yeah. Lauren's story is sweet yet sinful, and having it brought to life with Josh's voice is an exciting experience.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Brent Nichols is so much like his brother. Sexy, funny, strong, brilliant. But I really fell in love with his heart. I loved how once he saw Shannon again, he went after her like no time had passed. His love was true, not just years before but now too.

What about Josh Goodman’s performance did you like?

Amazing! Josh's voice captured me from the start and made a sinfully delicious story even more delectable. The way he was able to express Brent and Shannon was marvelous.

Overall book review ~

When you find the one, you plan a life together. When life throws a wrench into things and you let the one walk away from you, you have to learn to move forward alone. But what happens when fate intervenes and you are standing in front of the one again years later? You do whatever it takes to never let the one walk away again.

Lauren's latest is exactly this. Brent let his career come between him and the love of his life, she walked away and out of his life for 10 years. Her career has brought her back home and into his life and just the sight of her makes him weak in the knees. Now that her company is working with his, he vows to win her back and not let her go ever again.

Brent Nichols is sexy with a capital S and has a heart of gold. He is built but not the hardcore body builder type. He's the guy that makes a suit look stunning and even more so when it is on a pile on the floor. He loves his family and friends and will anything for them.

Shannon Paige-Prince didn't have the best childhood. To help keep her past hidden, she's changed her name. Few know the truth, Brent being one of them. She has a dancer's body even though an injury made her give up her dream. Although she's quite stunning, her job keeps her busy and her with her past, she doesn't let a lot of people into her inner circle. It doesn't help that her heart has only ever belong to Brent. Even with all the time that's past, he still makes her heart go pitter-patter.

Lauren has an ability to captivate a reader from start and this story is no exception. She weaves a story that is about second chances, forgiveness, hope, love, and family. The passion and tension between Brent and Shannon leaps off the pages. The reader is left breathless and panting for more. You can't help but want a happy ending for these two after all the years and heartaches they have been through. Any of Lauren's books are a defiant must read!

This was a perfect first book in this series. Seriously, after that ending, I can't wait to learn more about the Sloan brothers!

Enjoyable Romantic Journey

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sweet Sinful Nights?

I enjoyed going along on the journey of Brent and Shannon. There was a connection there that feels like they are truly meant to be together. Everything comes full circle in the end along with a cliff hanger leaving you wanting more.

What does Josh Goodman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narrator seemed to be a good fit for Brent and really allowed for me to be captivated by the story.

Any additional comments?

Look forward to book 2 in the series.

TRUE LOVE WILL ALWAYS WIN

I loved this LOVE STORY. Where no matter, what distance/time
About out of college but talented up & coming comedian Brent Nichols & his fiancee ex dancer want to be choreographer Shannon Paige (Sloan) were meant to BOTH go for jobs in New York, then he comes back & broke her heart by agreeing to another job.
So we hear a little of their 10 yrs apart & how she had gone through heartbreak, 😢 though her career goes up 😃 & then Brent comes back to town doing a completely different career. But these 2 seem to connect straight back near with as where they left off, VERY QUICK but heck it is a beautiful love story. The 1 little negative fur me was the ending

Terrific start to a new series

I am a huge fan of Josh as a narrator, so a great choice by Lauren Blakely for this book!

A brand new Nichol's Brother, OMG, and he is starting off the brand new spin off series, I fell straight into this book from the first page, Lauren creates characters that you instantly connect with, and this is Clay's brother who we have met before, so I was expecting Big, Sexy, things.

I wasn't disappointed, like his brother, he made mistakes with his women, I wanted to give him a slap and cheered once when he got one!! But he was strong, sexy, yet not afraid to lay his feelings out there, I mean he does it live in front of people.

I freaking loved Shannon, she is a great Blakely Girl, the sexual banter between the two was my best so far, she was great, feisty and sweet with a history that had me wishing I could quit work as I could not read this quick enough and get to the bottom of Shannon's family secrets.

Love, intrigue!! A gaggle of brothers and when I did get to the juicy bits, well.........hot as usual!

So excited for this spin off series, Lauren nails her male characters, ( he he he) and this had me as excited as I was when I saw the man on the cover. Lauren keeps going from strength to strength and her writing just flows effortlessly.
