Great Story & Narration🎧 Sweet & Heartfelt!

I enjoyed this book immensely, the story is well written and well told with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. Beth Monroe and her friend, Hannah Larson, opened “Sweet Cupids” Bake shop together. But Hannah betrays her and Beth has to struggle to find ways to keep the bakery in business. As if her day was not bad enough the last person she wanted to ever see again walks into the shop, Bryce Landry, the one who broke her heart in college. Bryce Landry was surprised to see Beth and her attitude towards him was baffling, he never knew why she never responded back to his messages when in college. After his own heartbreak and betrayal he was not looking to get involved with anyone but he still asked Beth to go out to eat with him. CJ Warrant packed an impressive amount of story in her novella sized book, the story is nicely plotted and there is never a dull moment. There is drama, a touch of angst, some heartfelt and emotional moments and a wonderful second chance at love and romance. CJ Warrant, thank you for this great story!

🎧📚🎧 And for the terrific narration, Lacy Laurel is a talented narrator and voice artist. She brings the characters to life, giving each their own distinct voice and personality making it easy to follow along and tell how is who. She did a great job portraying the characters, took each role and made it her own. She set the perfect tone for the story, captured the character’s emotions and projected them into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen.

Sweet treats and an ex

Beth is the co-owner of a bakery and she just learned that her business partner has wiped out her bank accounts. In walks the last guy that she ever expected to see after a disastrous breakup in college...yep, THAT guy! After being forced to cater his firm’s holiday party...Beth and Bryce call a truce and begin to sort out what really happened ‘back then’....lots of miscommunication and devious friends. Will Bryce help Beth save her business? Is there an HEA in store for these two? Fast paced short story w a wee bit of drama w the former business partner. Great epilogue. Worth the read/listen.

great listen

This short sweet novella hit the feel good spot. This second chance romance delivered all the feels, and plenty of emotions. After both being betrayed by someone they thought they could trust, they finally get it out in the open about what happened so many years ago. Loved all the characters especially the two baking interns who back up Beth when she needs them most, trying to fulfill Bryce's order in doing so to keep her bakery shop open. Great story. Audible narration: Loved the narrator who brought this world to life and I felt as if I was right there with them.
