Riveting! Erotic! Intense! Follow Up To Book One!

Wow! What a great mix of Suspense, Action, and Steamy, Hot sex with one Intense hot dominant alpha!

May contain spoilers;
Swallow picks up closely to where book one ends. While Raven and the rest of the team were able to prevent a deadly weapon from getting into the wrong hands, the enemy is still out there, determined more than ever to sway others to their way of thinking. Zara is now part of the Kindred team, and is given the code name Swallow. She is still needed to help gather intel on Grant, Raven's brother, and the owner of the company who is responsible for the creation of the weapon that has the potential to do mass harm. Her missions are bringing her closer to the leader who is assembling followers who believe his intentions are to develop a community that has more of a cult mentality where people can co-exist, and contribute to the better good. One of her missions is too get close to one of his followers who is trying to rise up the ranks and convince Zara that their cause is one of righteousness. The plot has a few surprising plot twists when Zara is played.

Raven is in a dark place and blames himself for the death of his mentor and closest friend. Zara is there for Raven, and tries to help him through these difficult times but their relationship is filled with lots of dark moments, when all it's seems to be between is hot, steamy, angry sex. In some ways he tries to push her away, and at other times he's pulling her closer, but the one thing between them is their love for each other.

Swallow was a great addition to the series, and narration awesome! I really enjoyed book two, and look forward to the next audio in the series to be released. I received this audio in exchange for an honest review.

Intense!

This book is part of a series and yet a standalone. There are references to the first book in this one, which I had not read. Initially I had trouble figuring out what the Kindred was. This book is classified as Erotica and it seemed more like a thriller. I did not know what to expect from this book as this is outside my normal genre. I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom. I am trying to expand my listening genres. I found this book to be suspenseful and intriguing. The narrator did a fantastic job conveying tension and excitement.

BACK TO HATING RAVEN, THEN AGAIN TO LOVING HIM

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

I fell in love with Raven in book one. He flew his true bastard colors again for the first half of this listen and I wasn't sure I could like him again. But, oh yeah, I love him again.
Wonderful, complex story delivering a fantastic ending. Nice Job, Scarlett!

Narration by Tieran Wilder was fabulous. As always.

2 BIG THUMBS UP!

Steamy and Intense

It would be really important with this series to start with Book #1, there is so much story in the backround with refers back to Book 1.. Unfortunately, I hadn't read it.

That said, this was a pretty intense book, and very steamy to boot, however, I did find in the beginning of the book disturbing, (Spoiler), because of Raven's selfishness in how he treated her. But if you are looking for some pretty hot, take charge kind of alpha, then you won't be disappointed. But read or listen to Book 1 first, it will help in understanding the book much better.

The performance was excellent.

My kind of book.

This is the second book in a series. I loved this book as much as the first and the third. I haven't gotten the others yet. The characters in this book are mysterious and bad ass. I love Brody and all his brooding. This book has a great, fast pace and touches enough on the previous book so you know what's going on and why. I was gifted this book by the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review. I love this series and book and reccomend it to anyone who likes this genre. It does have some explicit sex scenes so if you're not into that then you may want to skip it. I think they're awesome though.

This series is definitely worth your time

Any additional comments?

A great second installment to the series. It's another well written, very entertaining, suspenseful and thoroughly enjoyable continuation of the series. The series is definitely worth your time.

While this book could technically be read as a standalone and be just as enjoyable, you really should start at the beginning of the series to really understand what the characters especially Raven are going through in this book.

This story has just as much suspense, intrigue, action and hot steamy romance as the first book did. It's also a bit of an emotional roller-coaster due to the events that happened in the first book and the way they are affecting the characters in this book.

Zara is once again caught between Raven and Saint, 2 brothers on opposite sides when it comes to "business dealings" as well as the personal divide that has separated them since the death of their parents. That's the only way to describe it without giving the story away.

Even being Mr. Bad@ss Alpha, Raven acted like an complete jerk in the beginning. I read the first book and really liked him, but even I had a hard time with him for a while in this story. Luckily he eventually gets it together and redeems himself. Even though he was going through something profound personally he shouldn't have treated Zara the way he did.

Raven put Zara through the ringer. I understand standing by your man but she took him back far to easily. That's just my opinion. On the one hand she is a strong, independent woman and then the next thing she's a wimp and taking what he's dishing out. She grows throughout the story and proves she belongs/deserves to be Kindred in the end though.

The story does end a slight cliffhanger or rather it just ends abruptly. Leaving several unanswered questions. Thankfully book 3 is already on Audible.

Tieran Wilder is back again as the narrator for this installment. Once again she does a great job with the narration. Pleasant voice. Easy to listen to for long periods of time. Clearly spoken with a nice smooth pace. Really good character voices. She was able to bring the characters and story to life through her narration. Very enjoyable.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher.
Start with book 1

Swallow: Kindred, Book 2 by Scarlett Finn has lots of action and erotic tension but to be truly enjoyed you need to start with the first book. I also found the narration a little rushed and difficult to follow. Not a deal breaker but mildly disconcerting.
