Eight weeks ago I signed a contract. It seemed like a good idea at the time. There were some rules, though...
It seemed like a good idea at the time. Look up Landon Roderick, that boy from childhood whom I'd never been able to forget - even though he so easily forgot about me - and call him....
It started out like any other morning on the train - until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle. He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world. Who did the stuck-up suit think he was...God?
Actually, he looked like a god. That was about it.
When his stop came, he got up suddenly and left. So suddenly, he dropped his phone on the way out. I might have picked it up. I might have gone through all of his photos and called some of the numbers. I might have held on to the mystery man's phone for days, until I finally conjured up the courage to return it.
When I traipsed my ass across town to his fancy company, he refused to see me. So, I left the phone on the empty desk outside the arrogant jerk's office. I might have also left behind a dirty picture on it first, though.
I didn't expect him to text back.
I didn't expect our exchanges to be hot as hell.
I didn't expect to fall for him - all before we even met.
I really liked the characters but the story kind of annoyed me. The story was developing nicely and all of a sudden after fending off many obstacles, one of the characters does a complete 180 and decides to leave. (Trying not to give away too much in the review). It seemed so typical and manufactured for me. I'm all for supporting some drama and angst, but this just seemed so forced. On the upside, the narrators were excellent.

IMO, everything about this listen was just perfect.... the loveable characters, the build-up, the chemistry, the witty banter, their flirty texts, the Ask Ida Column, the twist and all the things in between as Soraya and Graham's love story passionately plays out. It's quirky, fresh, feisty and funny in the beginning then it goes on to add romance, sex, touching and sweet scenes, a shocking life altering twist, angst/drama with a bitchy ex, a bit of tormented heartache, a HEA and a wonderful and very funny Epilogue. And, I'm sure that it'll leave you with a smile on your face.
Dual POV's, a very addictive and enjoyable storyline, a feisty, sassy ballsy Heroine who likes to color the ends of her hair depending on her mood and a handsome rich 'tamed' Alpha Hero who's got a dirty mouth, good secondary characters and great narration too. The H/H may be very different types at the start but, through character growth and love, they compliment each other rather than conflict with one another. Vi and Penelope please keep em coming.... I'm loving every one.
Worth a credit? Yes, it effortlessly did what it was supposed to do... it drew me in and transported me to various locals where I could visualize these two well developed characters as their love story was so well described, well written and well narrated. So this is..... wait for it..... well worth the credit. ta da.

I've read a lot of romances. Couldn't finish this one. Can't take the whining and immaturity.

Cute back and forth initially but a bit too much of his crude sex. Not much of a premise for their relationship and his rudeness. OMG what a stupid premise for her lack of trust.
Maxine has a pretty boring flat voice.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like the narrators at first, but they were both spot on. This book was fantastic and I highly recommend it!

The poor girl meets rich man has been overdone lately. Add to that unbelievable scenarios, over the top smart mouthed female and the male narrator sounding older than the main male character I had a hard time listening to the end. It was a bargain purchase and I did listen to the end.

The story was winding and sometimes repetitive. I hate the narrative of a weak, insecure woman with a powerful, yet patient and understanding, man. The female character was sometimes whiny in a "I broke my own heart in an easily avoidable situation" kind of way. It made for a snore of a climax filled with self sabotage instead of actually events taking place. I skipped the second to last hour because I was bored and waiting for the story to pick up the literary pace so to speak. In some parts, there were so many feelings, but such little plot. Finally, I personally didn't like the male narrator, as his voice was a bit off to me. Yet, that's neither here nor there. Worth a credit if you have a ton to dispose of, but otherwise, ehh. The story just wasn't for me, but I'm sure it's fairly enjoyable to others.

Is it me? Doubt it. The hero's love was put together sooooo fast and fully that it made the story seem too fake. Unrealistic in fact. A rich, handsome guy with so much to offer falls for an average girl. Yes that's true that can happen, but that's usually after he gets to know her and not almost immediately after he meets her. A guy like that would take MUCH longer to say the three word "I love you". Story was cute but that's all. In a superficial unrealistic kind of way. Still worth a read but don't expect a super clever storyline.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!! This book was everything that I hoped for. I LOVED Graham. He was just so awesome. Yes, he was an a** at times, but when he let you in, you were in. He had a sad story and was done so dirty by his ex and former best friend. I mean dirty. Soraya was a hoot! She was just so bold and honest. No falseness about her at all. Both characters were real and not perfect which was perfect for me. Their chemistry was so HOT! 5 stars all around!

Loved the narrations by both Joe Ardena and Maxine Mitchell. Well done!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Stuck-Up Suit?
When Soraya's father came and apologize to her. That was a really important part in this story to me.
Which scene was your favorite?
There were so many. The scene in the Graham's office when he wouldn't come and meet Soraya. The text messages exchange, the feather and so many more.
Any additional comments?
Read and or listen to the freaking book! :-) This will go on the "to be listened to again" pile.

There is really nothing compelling in thi s romance. I got tired of the narration of the four letter word f**k. It seemed over used and distracting .

what a great story loved the voices too and i absolutely adored the part walking along the beach bumping into Chance and the goat such a lovely story and so funny in places i found myself laughing out loud xx
Love the books these authors put out and this is another great listen expertly narrated by Maxine and Joe they really do pull you into the story five stars all the way 😄
A lovely story and well Joe Arden just makes it better. Jesus that guy Joe Arden!! I actually search for what he is reading to buy. Anyway I loved the story.
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Found the whole story a bit boring. Did not make me laugh, cry or cringe like so many of the other books from Penelope Ward or Vi Keeland. I thought the heroine was annoying.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
The voice of Maxine Mitchell was annoying, made the heroine nagging.
I really enjoyed this book it brightened my mornings as I walked to work and kept me company at home while doing my housework. Unfortunately the editing of the reading let this book down. There parts in most chapters where time passed in the story but there were no breaks in the readin except at the ends of the chapter. I am sure if I went to physical copy of this book there would be paragraph breaks to denote the change in time. A little editing of the reading would make this a 4 star book for me please take care to make sure the layout of the books is followed in the reading as it enhances the enjoyment more.
I'm very new to audio books but judging by the level of my enjoyment, it is about to be my new thing.
Really enjoyable and the narrators really add to the story.
The narration started off a bit annoying but you get used to it. I downloaded this on a bit of a whim as I usually go for crime, but I wasn't disappointed. its a great easy reading (or listening) story, with sweet characters and it's not all smooth sailing for them.
As soon as I started listening I thought oh this is Cheesy. The narrating on the girls part was fine but the narrating on the blokes part was really smarmy, good storyline worth persevering with , worth a listen
Really loved this book, it's sweet, funny and sexy couldn't stop listening till it was finished, can't go wrong with this one
This is one of my favorite books.
Just loved that it is a story that can relate to a lot of people.
5 Stars for the narration. 2 for the storyline.
There are so many sexual innuendos that came across really cheesy and they just got old after a while. The plot is so unoriginal and full of cliches that I'm not sure I'll remember much of the story in a day or two.
The male protagonist is rude to his employees while the female protagonist made a really retarded decision on behalf of him which drove the plot forward but it was too contrived for the story to be convincing. From that point onward I just wanted the story to end and was really relieved when it did.
A H you can Mahe your next book boyfriend and a h you can respect. Just the right amount of humour and angst this book is damn near perfect. Oh and did I say it's got a HEA and no cliffhanger, steam in the bedroom and not so much you have to start skipping over it . See just make it the next book you read OK.
