Publisher's summary

An ancient legend draws them together.

His dark soul will tear them apart.

Sometimes the only fairytales that exist are the dark ones.

For the past two years, Hope Annandale has fought to hold onto her sanity. Plagued by voices and visions, she struggles to understand what's real and what's an illusion. As the lines between reality and hallucination blur, Hope discovers things that shouldn't be real suddenly exist. When Hope's world falls apart, figuring out the secrets of her past becomes a matter of life and death. And the only one who can save her is the dangerously attractive demon prince, who is bound by an ancient legacy to betray her.

The fate Stone has fought to escape is here. With destiny on one side and desire on the other, Stone must protect Hope from the one thing he can't hide from - his birthright.

What if the one person you were meant to be with could never be yours?

Stolas, the first novel in the Dark Soul series, is a riveting tale of passion, danger, and forbidden love.

Intended for mature listeners 18+ due to language, violence, sexual situations, and dark themes.

Loved the story but....

I couldn’t get used to the narrator. Over dramatic and he sounds elderly. I picture a 70 yr old man with gray hair behind the microphone. It worse when he reads Lucifer’s parts.

Couldn't stand male narrator

Story was okay, male narration makes everything overly intense. male and female narrators pronounced names differently as well

Not a bad story, but...

The one thing that made me cringe at random throughout the story, that I felt there need to write a comment on,was the male narrator. It's not that he was bad at it, per say, but he was... over dramatic, for lack of a better word. I occasionally rolled my eyes when it went too over the top for me.

Stolas

This has been unlike any book I have listened or read. It draws you in and doesn't let you go! I am going to look for more of this series or the author. It is well worth taking the time to enjoy!

What a disappoinment!!!! 😫

I really got into this book only to be utterly disappointed with it's end. I won't spoil it but I was very .....well... DISAPPOINTED. The entire book leads up to a very climatic storyline which just abruptly ends.... it's like there are chapters missing. 😣😫

It was ok but...

The story was oooook... but some parts were overacted by the male narrator. The constant reminder of the main character needing to say over and over again practically shouting that he was the prince of hell was a bit irritating. All the supernatural creatures were too human especially "Stone"...He was too broken and lacked confidence.Just a weak character in general not in stature but in substance..the constant need for approval and acceptance was just wayyyyyy too human.B- for effort I guess...but maybe if the male narrator Didn't read ever word like a scene from lord of the rings..I might of been able to get through the entire book...wanted to like it though.

Stolas

Hope Annandale struggles to hold onto her sanity. Plagued by hallucination and visions, she struggles to understand what's real and what's an illusion so she checks herself into a posh mental facility.

Stone is drawn to Hope and his destiny doesn't include Hope. He ends up straddling a fine line - to protect Hope or his birthright.

Stolas is the first book in the dark duet that makes you wonder who the good guys are - angels or demons?
