Spencer Cohen, book 2

The second part of a Three book series about Spencer and Andrews Story.
This book is a continuation of their Story and is just as well written and Narrated as the first book. I absolutely love this series, and I Love Spencer and Andrew. And once again I am seriously impressed by Joel's narration for this series. You can tell he loves these characters as much as we do with all the emotion and effort he puts into these books. His voices for every single character is still on point with every word, and flows together perfectly. I would highly recommend the book and the Audiobook to everyone. But before reading/listening to this Book you should really check out book one first, to see how they meet and how they ended up together.
Spencer and Andrew have decided to take their relationship slow. They have to try and figure out how to make it work between them, with both their past relationships and work lives included. But you can tell from every word they are totally perfectly made for each other. Spencer has a new, but super Shady client and we get to see how that all plays out. The Heat between the two men is a lot Steamier in this book compared to Just having that one HOT kiss at the end of the first book. No matter how many times I read this book (and now listen to the narration) their story never gets old.

Charming Series.

One of my favorite shorter audiobooks ( 6 1/2 hrs). I listen to or read the book every few months. Love, love, love.

I love Joel Leslie

Truth. He's the best. I really enjoyed this story too. Some very poignant moments. And also laughing out loud at the glass office scene. Did I mention I love Joel Leslie? Truth!

Sweet Continuation

I loved this book even more than the first book. Andrew and Spencer are perfect for each other, but they aren’t perfect people. They make mistakes and blunders, have misunderstandings, but through it all, they figure it out and move forward. It’s wonderful to read about characters who are okay with making mistakes, but act like adults and figure it out.

N.R. Walker has a wonderful writing style that’s easy to sink into and enjoy. Her characters, from the main characters to supporting, feel like real people who I’d love to meet for coffee. The plot was interesting, and although not unique, it was still gripping and had my heart aching for the pain that Yanni has experienced. I definitely recommend this book, but be sure to read book one first in order to truly enjoy the storyline and characters.

The audiobook was delightful. Joel Leslie has such wonderful voices for both Spenser and Andrew, and I quite enjoyed listening to him.

Spencer Cohen 2

As I said in my previous review, this series is one of my favorites. I’m still learning to enjoy this narrator so I have little experience with him. He’s growing on me though his female character voices are not my favorite.

Romantic AF!

Spencer and Andrew's story continues exactly where book 1 left us and it is soooooo romantic. Because Andrew and Spencer try to take things slow, meaning not fall into bed before Sarurday because Andrew always rushes into things, they spend even more time than in book 1 in dating, some times while doing covert spying on tossers, and they end up instead falling in love.

Sweet and sexy and so so romantic a continuation can't wait for the 3rd part of their story.

There's nothing I can say that will be adequate to describe Joel's performance.

Joel Leslie is an amazing narrator!

Spencer Cohen book 2 is not a standalone (which you might already have guessed from the title alone), it picks up moments after book 1 ended and it had all the sexy and steam the previous book didn't. Book one focused one the getting to know you and falling in love, this one brings the steam and is mainly focused on the relationship between Spencer and Andrew. It deals with the insecurities that starting a new relationship brings.

N.R. Walker writes about real people, they have flaws and issues. They are relatable and that's one of the reasons why I love her books so much and why I'm always picking up each and every one of her books.

I love these characters to death. They are just wonderful in so many ways. And reading (listening) to these books you become a part of the family. You laugh, hurt and hold on for dear life when you're in the passenger seat of Cindy Crawford and Lola is driving. You are there experiencing it all with them, and to me that is the ultimate proof of a great writer.

My only niggle with this book was that it felt more like an interlude, there wasn't much going on. Don't get me wrong this was not by any means a bad book, I just wanted a bit more plot and less sexy times (don't hate me), but hey you can't have it all.

As for the narration; I'm starting to wonder i Joel Leslie can narrate a bad book, because he just nails every book I listen to that he has narrated. The voices, the emotion and the accents, they are all just spot on and pure perfection.

Spencer Cohen is a lot of fun to listen to. There is not much angst near them and are pretty much made of pure sugar, happy and smiles and just my kind of book. Book 3 here I come!

Must have listened to 1st book recently.

I'd listened to book one almost a year ago and was completely lost when I start listening to this. There's no re-introduction, no segue, no "look back". It simple starts the precise moment book one ended. It's al.ost as if the series was written as a single read then divided into 3 books. It was so disorienting because I didn't even remember what the characters looked like and the book didn't reacquaint reader with any of that basic necessary info.

Story was good, more relationship oriented than I like but good enough that I listened to the whole thing.

Of course a large part of the reason I listened to it all was because of Joel Leslie. One of my top 3 narrators!
