Book 3 was awesome.

This had so much love, action, I could hardly put it down. That's why it's after 3 AM That I finally finished it. *wink*

Iffy

up to the 3rd in the series and not sure if I'll buy the 4th. the females spend most of the book acting like preteens angsting about sex unable to even speak of it to other females. this one has a self destructive male who gives into his destructive urges over and over and over again.

Great Story Line As Always, But Laurens Voice.....

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, its a fun "out-of-this-world" read. Literally. But it still appeals to the romantic at heart.

What did you like best about this story?

I like the adventure and how I never knew what was coming up. It has unpredictable moments, lots of them, which made it hard for me not to want to listen every chance I got.

What does Anne Johnstonbrown bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Anne Johnstonbrown is a fabulous narrator. That is why I was so disappointed with how she did Laurens voice. So, Lauren is bi-racial (African American and White). And she is described and educated and from California. So I expected to hear that reflected. Instead, she made her sound like a old country bumpkin. Her voice does not match the authors description of her at all. It was like listening to my grandmother. She is young and beautiful and her voice for her held no youth at all. Being African American, it was a let down. She would have been better off making her sound more like Olivia with a west coast accent. I almost didn't want to listen because I was so disappointed. But I enjoy the series so I toughed it out, but many times I found myself wincing and rolling my eyes because it didn't go together.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, the scene with Deep and the Mother of Life.

Sought - Double Pleasure

Would you listen to Sought again? Why?

I have read Sought several times and absolutely loved the audible version. The narrator really brings the characters to life and draws you into the story even more. Plus this is one of the best of the Kindred books (I know I say that about them all) but really this is audible version is not to be missed.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sought?

What I find most memorable about this audible version of Sought is how phenomenally the narrator brings out Kat's personality. Her sarcastic, humerous , witty banter either when she is thinking out loud or talking to others is one of the best parts of the stories. She is not only an awesome character and true heroine but is extremely entertaining, found myself laughing out loud many a time, when I was not blushing, this book is seriously hot and delicious (as in Bonding Fruit).

Have you listened to any of Anne Johnstonbrown’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to Anne's first two Kindred Bride performances and she just gets better and better.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were many emotional moments woven into the story that were balanced so well between humor, excitement, danger & adventure, and 5 on the OMG hot scale. I always love when the Goddess makeshift appearance as well.

Any additional comments?

I gave this book 5 stars on the review and this audible version enhances the experience even more. The characters are brought to life so wonderfully and the world building even more vivid. I highly recommend listening to the series in order, the books are a gift to any lover of scify romantica or great way to be introduced to this genre. Can't wait for book 4 to come out on Audible.

Best series ever

I am an avid reader but never thought to enjoy erotica. These books have brought me life. I've read them all and listened to them more than once while waiting for more to come out. The sex is fantastic and the storylines keep me coming back for more. Never disappointed! Keep it up (lol) Evangeline. Thanks, LaShawn.

wanted to love it

I really wanted to love this storyline because I love love love Kat in all the other story lines. in her story, she doesn't sound anything like she does in the other books. and she seems like a scared, whiney young girl in her story where, in the other stories, she was a strong black female. The story could be cut in half because there is a lot of repeat phrases over and over. so I'm an eh on this one. only reason I gave it higher stars is due to the other story that is introduced in this one. Can't wait to listen to it. Hoping the narrator is more in line with the characters.

good story But to long

good series but they drag out the story to long. your were listening to two stories at once. they embed the next story into this one from the begging. in my opinion it should have been told towards the end of the story instead of throughout the story. to much angst with the twin kindred. narrator did a decent job. not sure if worth a credit, maybe a book when it's on sale

I wanted more

There wasn't as much erotica in this one, but the story is still good. I'm hoping the next book in the series doesn't disappoint.
