Sweet Romance and Easy Listen

The narrator does the author's voice no favors. This is a sweet romance and easy to listen to. I think the narrator could have done a better job which would have ramped up some of the tension in the book but as it was she made the villain mostly seem silly.

If you enjoy Christian historical romance and prefer a simpler slower story this will appeal to you. With so few Christian novels available as audible listens, this one is a good choice for "reading" as you go about your housework or for a commute.

Happily Ever After

My favorite kind of read — in a troubled world, a Happily Ever After ending always gets my vote.

Sweet story that held my interest as well as reflecting my beliefs. I looked forward to going back to it everytime I had to turn it off.

inadequate technical knowledge.

In order to truly enjoy a story it has to be believeable. Elaborate underground rooms in the 1890's would not be feasible. The author talks about liquor, but the only alcohol mentioned is beer and wine, neither of which is liquor. The author also talks about stills used to make the beer and wine but stills refer to the process of "distilling" which is not used in the making of beer or wine. I found that these technical inaccuracies constantly nagged at the credibility of the story.

Love this story!

Great storyline, love this author. Her ability to capture Godly principles in a historic fiction is a blessing.

Grace for confessed sins

Different story with some mystery and excitement. I appreciate not having the emphasis on sexual innuendos. I also like a good ending without everyone dying.
