A perfect ending for new begining to come.....

I personally am addicted to this entire series....I have listened to entire series multiple time but my favorite books to always have uploaded to my phone are Lilly & Lorne's books, so I can listen to them whenever I want. That is the only reason I gave the preformace 4 stars as all characters voice were the original performers except Lilly & Loren this really disappointed me to the point if audible re-recorded Lily and Loren's parts I would re-purchase this audio book.

But that being said.....this book had me laughing at some things and crying the next moment at other things. All the crazy antics that kids can do or say along with the pain they can experience to the joy. All of this to let us see into who the Hale, Cobalt and Meadows kids are and their relationships with their parents and one another. It is a happy/sad ending to one series and a great foundation for the beginning of a spin off series. If you can manage to get past Lilly and Lorens voice change it is an awesome must listen to book.

Am going to have withdrawals

Just binge listened to all 16 books in the Calloway, Hale, Colbot and Meadows story. Amazing, emotional and hot to name but a few adjectives. I have to be honest and admit that I have more patience with real life reality TV families now. It was my 2nd listen to the “Like us” series in preparation for the latest installment. If you are a fan of that series you will love the “addicted” and “Calloway sisters” series. They compliment the Like Us series. All 3 series are on my relisten list. ENJOY! Thanks to the authors and narrators. Well done. Can’t wait for the next installment. There is so much more to go!

PERFECTION!!

If you’ve read the series the cussing is the same. So forget that 1 star. It’s the perfect ending to the Addicted Series and beginning for the Like Us series. Amazing authors. Narrators being changed didn’t bother me. Things happen and everyone isn’t available. They did an amazing job regardless.

Great

It was nice to catch up with all the characters. Perfect to have multiple narrators.

just 1 flaw..

the story was amazing & so were most of the narrators, I only have 1 issue. so don't get me wrong when I say this, I do like Erin Mallon but in my opinion the narrator for Lily got better! Unfortunately the narrator for Lo is absolutely horrible. I had to basically grit my teeth to make it through his chapters. luckily there were 5 other narrators so he was only 1/6 of the book but still.. Not fun.

A superior ending for the Callaway series.

The sisters have wrapped up the stories about the Calaway sisters perfectly. The combination of the different view points and thoughts bring a wonderful saga to a great conclusion. This now prepares you for the Like Us series, that are surrounded by their children, with small glimpses into the adults.
I have unabashedly fallen in love with this fictional family and I just can't get enough. I hope you enjoyed the series as much as I did.

- 4.5 to 4.75 stars -

This was a really good book. It took me a couple days to finish it, but it was worth it. I find it amazing how this book has me crying in one chapter, and the next I'm laughing. This was an emotional book, but I loved seeing the characters grow during those ten or so years. All of the Cobalt, Hale, Meadows, and Abbey kids have so much personality, and I enjoyed seeing them as little kids along with learning more about them since I read some of the Like Us series before I read the Addicted series. I find it interesting seeing how different each family is, but they are also really close with each other. I don't think I have a whole lot to say about this book though, despite how much I enjoyed reading and listening to it.

*Spoilers*

I loved and laughed at several moments with the kids. Learning more about them in this book I think will help with understanding them a bit more in the Like Us series. I am a little bit surprised (but also not) that Maximoff shared such personal issues with Jane. But I am glad to see that he has someone he can talk to who is around his age. I really liked learning about Maximoff throughout this book. It was interesting to learn that Maximoff has always felt responsible/compassionate for the people around him and I found it really sweet of him when he was concerned about his family. I think a lot of the information he learned and later asked questions about, he learned from the people at his school. It was honestly heartbreaking seeing him cry so hard because of the rumors about Lo not being his Dad.

*Spoilers for the Like Us series* Even though he came to understand and made peace with both Ryke and Lo about the issue, I think he's always carried those feelings with him up until book 1 or 2 of the Like Us series. He just kind of pushed them aside or they resurfaced because of the media. Because if he had really made peace with it and wasn't actually bothered about it or thought about it, he wouldn't have started dying his hair light brown and wearing red shirts, just like Lo. *End of Like Us spoilers*

I don't know if I will ever really like Charlie. I kind of understand him a bit better since he is very much like his father in how smart he is. But I didn't appreciate his comments towards Ben. But I might be a bit biased since I did read the Like Us series first and I didn't really care for some of his actions when he is an adult. But that doesn't change the fact that it seemed like he looks down on Ben and for how insensitive and rather mean his comments were towards him. But who knows. I might grow to like him, especially when I have a better understanding of his actions and why he says certain things.
I am interested to see the family interactions of when the kids are adults, teenagers, and preteens. But I did like seeing the family interactions between everyone and their kids.
The ending was a bit confusing because I couldn't figure out if they were reminiscing how the log cabin was first rather empty or of how in the future it will be empty when their kids grow up. I am also interested with how they furnish the place since no one else knows about the place. Also, I am curious with what kind of vehicles they use to drive the Cobalt kids around, especially when they are with their aunts or uncles because I doubt they would have enough room to fit all seven clientele own in one vehicle. But I doubt I'll ever learn about that.
I do like the fact that Willow, Garrison, and their daughter, so spend a lot of time with the core six and their families, it's just a lot of it is off screen. I loved seeing everyone playing the game Garrison mad editing the Thanksgiving scene.
I will say that I had a bit of a hard time understanding why Ryke and Connor had such mixed feelings about Rose being a surrogate mother, besides the concern for her health. I am glad they stopped at 7 plus 1 kids, as it really seemed to be putting a strain on her health.

*Narration*
I liked how there was all 6 narrators for the six different points of view. I thoughts they all did a nice job. When I first listened I thought Lily sounded a bit different but it wasn't until the first chapter with Lo that I figured out they both had different voice actors compared to the previous books. I'm more sure exactly if I would have noticed if I hadn't just re-listened to part of the book Thrive. But they sounded very similar and I enjoyed their narrative of both Lilly and Lo.
The only issues I had was some words were changed, a sentence was repeated and replaced the sentence right after the repeated sentence, and once or twice the wrong voice for the character was used,.But I'm not bothered by it, especially with how long the book is. So I really admire their hard work throughout this book.

Overall, I would highly recommend reading and listening to this book. I wasn't sad with how this series ended because it left on a good note.
