Publisher's summary

Mackenzie Campbell has no idea her life is about to fall apart. She's bright and attractive with a good job, a comfortable home, and an impending Christmas wedding she's been planning for months. So when her girlfriend bails less than two weeks before the nuptials, Kenzie's picture-perfect Christmas world begins to crumble around her.

Determined to hold on to at least some shred of her dignity, Kenzie snags her best friend, Allison, and flees the cold of the Northeast to take the honeymoon anyway. The Rainbow's Edge is an enormous LGBT resort in South Florida, and its atmosphere of sun and fun seems to be just what Kenzie needs to help take her mind off of her lost relationship. But can a few hot dances, a mysterious suitor, and a handful of rum runners help her figure out what it is she really wants?

great book from Georgia beers!

it was a great story with two, good characters. I wished there was another chapter though. the ending was happy, but it ended too early. was waiting for them to go home for Xmas. I listened to this over 2 days. it held my interest, and I spent the whole book rooting for Allison.

Snow Globe

Trigger Warnings: ended engagement, alcohol, cursing, discussion of weight loss/dieting, black out drunk, vomit, sex

Representation: Lesbian

Snow Globe is a lesbian, holiday romance. Mackenzie Campbell has no idea her life is about to fall apart. She’s bright and attractive with a good job, a comfortable home, and an impending Christmas wedding she’s been planning for months. So when her girlfriend bails less than two weeks before the nuptials, Kenzie’s picture perfect Christmas world begins to crumble around her.

Determined to hold on to at least some shred of her dignity, Kenzie snags her best friend, Allison, and flees the cold of the Northeast to take the honeymoon anyway. The Rainbow’s Edge is an enormous LGBT resort in Southern Florida and its atmosphere of sun and fun seems to be just what Kenzie needs to help take her mind off of her lost relationship. Can a few hot dances, a mysterious suitor, and a handful of rum runners help her figure out what it is she really wants?

This is another sweet Christmas time story! The characters are very realistic and feel relatable as flawed and interesting people. The main two characters have great chemistry and friends to lovers is always a great trope to read! The comfort and safety between the women is very evident and provides a warm, hugging feeling to the reader. The story is also quite funny. I was often laughing out loud and smiling throughout the entire book! My only criticism would be Kenzie’s insta love realization. I understand that these two have been friends for years but when Kenzie actually looks at Allison and sees her, it felt a little too unrealistic. I think it was hard to believe because the story is told solely from Kenzie’s perspective. I feel like maybe more flashbacks could have helped indicate that Kenzie had also always loved Allie and had been blind all along. Other than that, I thought the story was really good and everything has a natural pace that didn’t feel forced!

Slightly disappointed.

I’ve read more than a few of Georgia Beers titles and have never been disappointed with one until this one. While the premise of the story was good, I spent almost the entire book being painfully frustrated with how pathetic the main character was acting, not to mention how judgmental she was of other characters in the story. I also felt like the dialogue could have been better. Most of the conversations felt rushed and didn’t feel like a conversation I could see myself having with someone. It was just very difficult to get into the story and root for the main character when she spends 3/4 of the story practically scared of her own shadow.

Lived the story but...

The narrator ruined this tory for me. The tone they used made these 30 something women all seem like a bunch of barely legal children. Inflection matters y'all! The tone wasn't right for this book. Nevertheless I persisted through it and the Story is Awesome.

Friends To Lovers Romance

Mackenzie Campbell’s finance breaks up with her via text just days before the wedding. Devastated and heartbroken she and her best friend Alison head to Florida’s LGBT resort for the already paid for honeymoon vacation. Dancing, sunbathing and drinking are major pastimes. Hot dances lead to some moments. Will there be more? Great performance and story. Recommend

fantastic story!

what can I say? The store line was fantastic! the narrator awesome! Sit back close your eyes and listen to this wonderful Romance. I could actually relate to the main character although it's never happened to me before. And I have to say this there is a wonderful sex scene and the narrator leaves you Breathless.

Great stories with prediction

It takes a while to get use to the one person narrative of the story but after a while you can get into it. Great love story and hilarious to go along with it. Great combination.
