Publisher's summary

He's the hot college quarterback all the girls want. She's the smart girl he loves to pick on. And now that they're all grown up, things are about to get geekin' ugly.

My name is Tass. I'm smart, I'm driven, and I am determined not to let prankster Hunter Johnson continue raining on my parade. When we were little, he'd pull my hair and call me names. When we were teenagers, he'd throw food and tease me for being a flat-chested virgin.

But now that we've ended up at the same college, he's out of his hot head if he thinks he can keep messing with my life. It's like he's fixated on me or something. Well, guess what, Mr. Amazefootball? I'm not that geeky little girl anymore and you do not screw with a smart woman.

So what's my plan?

Contains mature themes.

Tassie and Hunter

Cute book. Well, cute is NOT the right word, only I can’t seem to think of a better word. It was a good story with deep sub plots, complex relationships and truly disturbing behavior on occasion. However in the end it was actually enjoyable.....

Lauren Sweet did an excellent job of narrating!!

Fun enemy’s to lovers story.

I enjoyed it overall, but the story is a little juvenal, but that’s what I expected from the synapsis and I did buy it on a sale. Tass has a lot of growing up to do, but when she does, she realizes what she really wants, and that Hunter is not who she thought he was. I will try the next book on a sale, as I enjoyed the story but not all of it as some parts were a bit much. Narrator was fairly good, a couple of times she was a bit annoying, when Tass was trying over the top flirting, it was just weird.

Story was decent but the female M/C is unlikable.

I get nerdy, but this is over the top. Its snotty more than nerdy. These nerds think they are above everyone, etc.. and the fmc is the worst stereotypical type. She's snooty , ungrateful, and annoying. I liked Hunter. At least he had the galls to go after what he wanted . He wasn't judgmental like her. The narrator.. ugh.. she had that nasal"ly" voice.. It made the girls even more snotty.. Potential to be decent if they showed some epiphany with these nerds (esp Lainey and her fraternity).

1st book of Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

Mimi Jean will now be on my “favorite authors“ list. I will start collecting them. The story was great and gripping, I experienced the emotion with the story/characters, the characters were well developed and the performance of the reader was perfect. I will now go through Mimi jean’s list of books starting with “Oh Henry”, the second in the series.

Couldn't enjoy the narration

The narration caused me to view the characters as irredeemably shallow and immature. It was distracting, and I wasn't having fun.

I'll just read this one myself.

Update: I've finished reading the book, sans narration, and I have to give it 4 stars at least. No, it gets 5. It has a great message. I loved the story. Nerds can be bullies, too. Considering the current national conversation surrounding politics and everything else, It's time we learned that we ALL are capable of fears, insecurities, tender feelings, and unrequited love, regardless of whatever category you think defines you. This book delivers a very timely message disguised under a lighthearted veneer. No matter how mistreated you think you have been, it's never okay to act out in revenge against those who have hurt you, and especially those who you think are "like" the ones that hurt you. The ensuing destruction affects the world around you, drags others into the pain, and spreads exponentially. The answer is to stop viewing the "other" as evil, an enemy, and care about them instead. Listen to them. Try to understand them. Give them credit for being real people, with real feelings and a point of view that is worthwhile even if you don't understand it. What a great message from this book.

Romantic comedy

Tass is an intelligent young lady that has a lot of maturity yet ahead of her. Throughout this book she starts to see things in a new light, and even though she has a ways to go at the end. She is on the right track. There are parts you'll be laughing and parts you'll be shaking your head. The narrative is excellent!
