This book was not what I was expecting....

This installment picks up a couple of months after Slow Surrender left off with Karina moving to London not only to start a new job in a museum but also in search of James, who left her after Karina forced him to reveal his name. I am so disappointed. I really enjoyed the first book and was intrigued by Karina & James. In the first book, the two main characters had decent banter and the mystery of James drew me in. There wasn't really a plot but at least there was James. However entering into the second book everything changed for me. The lack of story became even more apparent when James doesn't appear until the end of the book. I waited the whole book to see and feel the "Chemistry" they had....and HE WASN'T EVEN IN THE BOOK!!!! For me this one was good but not great. It didn't pull me in the way I hoped it would. It just felt drawn out. We get to meet Damon but he just wasn't James. The last few chapters were my favorite only because James appears finally, but at the end there were more questions about him then there were answers. Slow Seduction did have a few twists and turns and with a very unexpected cliffhanger ending. I will continue with the series regardless of my frustration.

Not "into" BDSM myself, but...

Any additional comments?

"It's really crummy to only take 2 books of a trilogy. Those of us who LOVED the first two and WANT the same narration, etc, are really disappointed to race to buy the third book on audio, only to find IT'S NOT THERE. Then to research and find there's NO PLANS FOR IT. Case in point - Struck by Lightning series by Cecilia Tan. Doesn't make me happy. So, I AM a customer. I am NOT a happy one at the moment. Can you explain? Or better yet, let me know when the third book in the series, hopefully with the same narrator, will be out?"

That said, I am willing to SIT and read if I have to, and of course the kindle version is always way cheaper, but I REALLY loved the audiobook. I wasn't sure about the narration at first, but it was actually very good. I'm not "into" BDSM, but lots of erotica goes there, so for me it's about the story and the relationship. I loved James and aside from all the secrecy, I'd totally be his sub!
