Publisher's Summary

Someone was after her and it was my duty to stop them. Never cross the line. That had always been my rule. But that was before Race True. The moment I saw her, I wanted her. But there was a problem. She wasn't just another pretty face - no, she was my first client at ALFA PI. My take-what-I-want attitude shouldn't include her, but how the hell can I be expected to keep my hands off? The danger that followed her had my protective instincts in overdrive. And as the clock ticked down, the choice was laid out before me: save her career or risk everything and have her in my bed. Could I put aside my wants for her needs? Or would my selfishness destroy everything in the process? Warning: If you can't handle a dirty-mouthed bad boy or a tough woman with an attitude, this might not be the book for you.

Recommended for 18+ and mature

This story was a surprise to me. It is very erotic and explicit. The Mystery / Suspence is more of a reason for the two to meet and continue the association.

A story I love, one narrator not so much

Would you consider the audio edition of Sinful Intent to be better than the print version?

I’ve not read this book so I can’t be the judge of that.
What I can say is that the storyline is good and the progression is as I expected. I liked the plot and that it didn’t take over the whole story.

What other book might you compare Sinful Intent to and why?

I might compare it to Masters and Mercenaries by Lexi Blake because there’s multiple characters and the story is similar in plot and progression.
There’s a lot of feelings, and the intensity that Blake brings to her books is something Bliss seems to also have a capability to do.

What does Samara Naeymi and Lee Samuels bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I’m going to answer this in two parts because my experience of the two narrators was very different:
Remember this is MY opinion:
Naeymi was not a good fit for me and my ears, I felt that her pronunciation was sloppy and the habit of drag out the words mostly irritated me. I’m sorry to say it because:
Samuels was a joy to listen to, good pronunciation and a soothing voice. If not for him my stars on performance would have been fare less.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If Lee Samuels was the only narrator, YES!

Any additional comments?

I liked the secondary characters appearances in the book and it made me want to read their stories.
Chelle Bliss manages to create a world I want to read more about.

Some good traits but fell short

There were a lot of things I liked about this novel; the family interactions, good sex scenes and good basic idea, for the plot. However, I did not get pulled into the story. I didn’t feel anxious during the kidnapping, search and rescue, for example. I didn’t share the emotional trauma with the Heroine or the uncertainty of the Hero. It wasn’t awful, and perhaps I wasn’t in the right frame of mind. I am going to try the next book in the series, though.

Loved it!

Loved it! I laughed out loud more then once. Loved the action with the sexy time. The narrator's were spot on. The family bound is great as well. We'll worth the credit/cash.

Fun

My first book from Ms. Bliss, fun, fast paced , a bit of suspense, a few hot scenes made this story quite enjoyable. Looking forward to the next one.
Loved the voices Mr. Samuels gave the characters. Ms. Naeymi 's voices were ok, but not a good match for me.

A little unexpected.

I really enjoyed the guy narrator. Wasn't too fond of the female at first, but she grew on me. I didn't expect the climax to be so intense...haha get it?...sorry, immature I know but I couldn't resist. Anyways, I was entertained and didn't expect the story to go where it did with Morgan and Race, but it went there and I was pleasantly satisfied.

Couldn't handle female narrator

I love listening to Lee Samuels but the female narrator's voice ruined it for me. To me, she was too sultry & southern for the story. I think it might have been better to read the book. Lee Samuels gets a 5 for narration. Not worth my credit based on her narration.

Great story, not a fan of the narration

I am reading the Alfa Pi Series by Chelle Bliss out of order, something I never do. I listened to Wicked Impulse (book 3) first, then went back to book one, Sinful Intent. I had to see where we first meet Morgan and his mom Fran.

"Oh G-d, was I going to be stuck with Ma as my plus-one for an eternity?"

Honestly, I listened to this a while ago and I am finally getting around to a review, so this won't be as detailed as most reviews because I don't remember it as well as I would if I reviewed right away.

If you are new to Chelle Bliss, the Alfa PI series (and this book) can totally stand alone. But if you are a long-term fan of Chelle, you’ll love her visits with all of the Gallo clan. Morgan is a cousin who just left the Army and is forced by his overbearing mom to go to a wedding in Florida. While there, he is offered a position the the Alfa PI agency. His first client is Race True (Yes, that’s her name), a business woman who is being blackmailed.

“I read somewhere that a p**** snaps back to virginal tightness after being empty for so long. I wouldn’t be shocked if mine was sealed closed with cobwebs inside.”

To be honest, I didn’t really like either character at first. Race was kind of a b and Morgan was kind of a jerk. But after a while I changed my opinion and began to like them both. The connection between the couple was instant and the sexual tension was off the charts. Plus, I thought she had some funny inner thoughts.

As the story went on it was filled with fun banter, lots of interesting sexy times, family love and a little suspense.

"She made me want to be a better version of myself. No longer needing to protect the soldiers of my past, I made her safety and happiness my priorities."

I loved how hard Morgan tried to behave and not sleep with his first client, but the connection between them was just too strong.

“In all honesty, I hadn’t saved Race True. She’d saved me. Giving me a life full of love and everything I’d always needed but never knew I’d wanted.”

Likes:

•Fast-paced and exciting.
•Fun banter.
•Visits with the Gallos.
•Stands alone well.
•Very little angst.
•Lots of humor, especially from Fran, his mom.

Dislikes:

•Never totally fell in love with either character.
•I couldn’t stand her narration.

Narration:
She over-acted and tried way too hard with the accents. It totally didn’t work for me. He was fine.

The Down & Dirty:
I am really enjoying Chelle Bliss’s writing in the Alfa Pi series. Filled with sexy alphas, funny banter, family, suspense, romance and hot sex, it has everything I love. It took me a bit longer to bond with and root for the characters, but in the end, I loved them.

Rating: 4.25 stars, 4.5 Heat, 3.5 Narration

loved it

love can come from the left field when you least expect it and boy did Morgan need a woman with extra spunk. he fought for but the fear of nearly losing someone you just found can drive you crazy. I loved where this went how realistic it got and of course I laughed along the way. Fran, Morgan's mum is something else but aren't all parents. Get on it.
