Publisher's summary

A former Navy SEAL, Cole Makani Hunter has returned home from a disastrous black ops mission without his best friend, his hearing, or the use of his right arm. So when his ex - commanding officer assigns him to an undercover mission at a rehab center for vets to discover who leaked sensitive military information to an enemy, he'd rather be anywhere but there. Almost immediately, Cole finds himself at odds with Annie Murray - a peace-loving ecotherapist whose dream is to open an animal sanctuary out of her home. While the two seemingly have nothing in common, their spirited arguments soon fuel a passion for each other.

But just as things begin to heat up between therapist and patient, dangerous complications arise. So does the past - and a shocking revelation that puts Cole and everything he now holds dear in the path of a murderous traitor.

If you have Kindle unlimited READ IT!

Non Spoiler quick thoughts:

I loved the first encounter between H/h. I can't recall the last author who hooked me they way this first meeting between Cole and Annie did.

I liked the mystery bad guy. Why? Because until the reveal I was not sure who it was. The author wove that part of the bad guy really well. I was nervous for the heroine (Annie) on multiple occasions and actually felt the danger she was in.

How did I feel about the relationship between H/h overall? At times I loved, hated and was just okay with it. I thought the Hero was well hot and the Heroine was the one who had to grow on me. I started this book reading along to the audio version but the narrator seemed to drag things on and sometimes the way things were read seemed cringey. In text form it was much less mother earth preachy.

The ending?
Well honestly I expected more. I wasn't unhappy with the ending but I was left a little disappointed because of how things were built up between the H/h.

Overall it is still a really good book that is worth reading, especially if you have kindle unlimited. Its free that way so just read it.

Getting the Truth

I liked that this story highlighted the importance of a variety of treatments available to treat trauma. All the characters needed to find coping strategies for moving forward.

Great romantic suspense!

This audiobook was a surprise to me at how much I enjoyed it! The heroine is a quirky, Earth mother type who is working as a therapist at a rehab center for soldiers with PTSD. She also has a bunch of animals she takes care of who have been injured or abandoned. One of my favorite scenes is when she has to “go feed the babies” while the hero tags along and he realizes that it’s a bunch of baby skunks! The hero is really at the rehab center on assignment trying to find a traitor, but he attends the therapy sessions too. He starts to really fall for her, but she’s worried that because he’s a patient at the rehab center it would be unethical ( even though she doesn’t work with him ). Throw in a crazy stalker and the story was so entertaining I listened to it all day in order to finish it. Narration was very well done too.

Story was just so so

The book was pretty good, but I didn't care for the narration. A little bit of romance, action and mystery!

It was good

I liked this book. However, I caught myself rolling my eyes in many occasions. The villain guy and all his actions was over saturated and it was ridiculously. The eco therapy was a different view but in the introduction session I wanted just to skip skip because it was ugh. Overall the story was okay.

Finding Each Other

Wasn't sure where going at first. Once got into it more developed. Two wounded souls that found each other to help heal together. Ready for the next book in the series.

Ok book

This was just ok. It had some interesting parts. The descriptions were well done. The characters were well developed, but it was just not totally entertaining.

Too cheesy

Too cheesy for me. I didn’t mind the premise and narration was ok, but the writing was cheesy.

Good book. Narrator did a decent job

Solid writing.
Sadly though, the female character was fairly stagnant. There was little transformation in her beliefs or relationship as the book went on. Also, her Snow White persona came off as a little corny at times. I know many veterans. The facility in the book only had non-military personnel preaching to veterans on how to heal - that wouldn't happen in reality. I get where the author is going with the 'earthing' - ground healing - science. But the female character didn't quite fit in the role - She seemed like a novice in her field. The villain also had too much going on. He's a spy, he's conveniently obsessed with the female character, He has mother issues, he has all this time on his hands to stand in the corn fields for hours. Some of the action seemed unrealistic.
