Oh Shane

Finally the story of the dark and mysterious Shane. Get ready for a wild ride of emotions, tragedies, fights, and pure joy. Shane and Cassie were made for each other! They both helped each other grow and over come many challenges leading up to a cute HEA.
Haven't heard either narrator before and I think they both did well.
That being said this book does have a lot of triggers as well as talks about triggers in relation to rape and PTSD. Please read with care.
Overall great 4th installment in the Damage Control Boys series. Looking forward to starting Ocean.

Love Shane!

This fourth audiobook in Jo Raven’s Damage Control series was just great listening. Be forewarned that if you have any issues with triggers such as rape, you shouldn’t listen to this book. The hero, Shane, has intimacy issues and frequent PTSD flashbacks from what happened to him while he was falsely imprisoned. The heroine, Cassie, has loved him for a long time and won’t give up on him. What neither of them knew is that there is something going on behind the scenes that is making things worse for him. The story has a great ending and the narration was very well done. Jo Raven just keeps writing better books with each one she writes!

Impactful

Great story and truly gripping. It was heartbreaking but the camaraderie of these boys and their inner circle is something special.

I actually cried

I'm not a heartless person or anything but my goodness this book seriously got to me. I've listened to the Inked Brotherhood and Damaged boys all the way up to Shane and I have to say, Shane and Cassie are by far my favorite couple. They are very similar to Zane and Dakota whom I also adore but something about Shane and Cassie just tore at my heart. The narration and story were perfection and I felt like I was so involved in the story. I always liked Cassie despite mistakes she made. She more than proved herself in this book!

This was a good story. It's very sad but Shane is a fighter. I only wished that the ending went more in depth of Shane dealing with his past than what we were left with. I'm sure Oceans book will touch on his progress. Narration was good especially Todd. He really draws you in and makes you feel the scene he is reading. Listen to this story. It's worth it.
