Publisher's summary

Setting Black Souls Free Along The Oregon Trail: The Christian Wagon Train, is a wonderful Christian novella with scriptures, about one woman's fight to free the slaves which a single family owns, as they head west along the Oregon Trail. It's a family consisting of one father and his six sons. The youngest son is already a believer but the woman has a hard time in convincing the others that all people deserve to be free and have the chance to learn about Jesus. Gradually, she is able to convince the group of men, except for one, to realize that God's word is the truth. And from the long wagon train journey she finds a friend in a young slave woman and love with one of the brothers.

Good Christian Story

It's not the best but the meaning behind the story is good. Short Christian story that results in freedom and friendship.

Lacked Enchantment

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I am sure some might enjoy the book. However, it was not very well written in my opinion..Maybe there should have been more research done by the writer. Then again, maybe there is not enough information on the topic to develop an interesting plot Last, the. theme, unfortunately. did not reflect much knowledge of Christianity or black souls in that time period as I have learned from other literary sources.

What could Vanessa Carvo have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Frankly, I enjoy multiple dimensions of characters as well as plots with interesting twist..Add some mystery or drama;even If it is Christian fiction.

Would you be willing to try another one of Glenn Hascall’s performances?

I would be willing to listen to another performance because a performance can be limited by the material,,budget and time you are given.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Setting Black Souls Free Along the Oregon Trail?

As an editor, I would have trashed the project, until I had a better product. Furthermore,, I cannot think of anything right that would have cut. Besides its been a while and the material did not affect me.as something I wanted to remember
