Publisher's Summary

Garrett Oliver has just settled into his job as heir apparent to one of the most renowned master gardeners in the country. After a difficult few years, he's found a home and a renewed purpose at a famed resort in the secluded Smoky Mountains. The stars seem to be aligning for Garrett as he plans a future with his college sweetheart and envisions a simple life with her in the mountains of East Tennessee.

Willow Armstrong is coming home to Knoxville to care for her ailing father, fresh off a painful breakup. She finds herself in the right place at the right time, landing a dream job alongside Garrett - as his boss. As they are thrown together by their work, an undeniable magnetism grows between them, despite the fact that Garrett is ready to start a future with someone else. Circumstances persist in drawing them closer, and an unexpected opportunity in Colorado prompts Willow and Garrett to wonder if a life together out west might be beyond anything either of them had dared to imagine.

    "Fantastic!!!!"

I loved this super sweet romance! I loved Willow and Garrett! They had a slow building romance and really got to know each other and it was fantastic. Great narration and a nice, clean romance.

    "Brilliant Romance"

Seeds of Intention by Andrea Thorne
    Narrated by Maryne Young
This second book in the Hesse Creek series is brilliant. Blackberry Farm resort in Walland, Tennessee provides a beautiful backdrop. Garrett Oliver has passion for his career as a master gardener and Willow Armstrong arrives to manage the rustic resort and care for her father.
The characters are well developed and the story follows the friendship and romance between Garrett and Willow. India and Wyatt from the first installment Walland play supportive roles adding depth to the story. The story blooms like the surroundings as a gentle and well-timed ebb and flow. The prose of the story takes you on a journey celebrating life.
From Garrett and Willow’s first meeting and evening sitting on the porch in rocking chairs you can feel the sparks and honesty in this relationship. Romance at is best with just enough details and not too many.
Maryne Young’s voice just adds another layer of pleasure as you let yourself fall into the story and never want to let it end.
This is great reading or listening for a cozy weekend. I look forward to the next book in the series.

    "Great Listen!"

Seeds of Intention is Book 2 in the Hesse Creek Series and can be listened to as a standalone but I feel that it is best enjoyed after listening to Book 1 (Walland) for background on the secondary characters that have an important role in Garrett and Willow's story. After an awkward start, they form a friendship that eventually leads to love. Can they find happiness with each other without sacrificing their dreams?

This is becoming a very enjoyable series for me and I loved Garrett and Willow in this story. It was great watching their friendship blossom into love and I liked that they took their time getting to know one another first. The descriptions of the resort and the scenery were so vivid that I felt like I was right there. I couldn't tell if Blackberry Farm was an actual place or simply a product of the writer's imagination because it felt so real to me. Marne Young once again narrated in Book 2 and brought the characters and story to life. I hope that Ms. Young continues in this series. With great writing and narration, sweet romance, humor and a little suspense, I really enjoyed Seeds of Intention and would recommend it.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is my honest opinion.

    "Worth your time and credit"

Hopefully this little series will not be over. Logan needs a story. This is the second book in the Walland (Hesse Creek)series and even though it can be listened to as a standalone it's worth your time to read the first book in the series as well.

You don't have to have a major amount of angst and drama to have an interesting, entertaining and very enjoyable story. Don't get me wrong there are enough little twists bits of drama and just ordinary life events to keep the story interesting. It's a well written, has a great cast of characters, a little humor, a dash of suspense and just pulls you right in and never lets go. This is one of those books I couldn't wait to get back to and was irritated anytime I had to pause the story.

This story centers on Garrett and Willow. Both immediately likable characters. They have both recently experienced life changing events. Even though there is an instant attraction their relationship develops slowly and naturally. I really enjoyed that the all of characters from the first book appear frequently in this story. It's like visiting old friends.

Marnye Young once again does a fantastic job with the narration. Pleasant voice that is easy to listen to for long periods of time. Clearly spoken with a nice even pace. Great character voices. Both male and female. You could always tell who was speaking. She was able to bring the characters, their emotions and the story to life. Very enjoyable.

    "Seeds of Intention"

I enjoyed this story. It had a fairly large cast of secondary characters but they were all enjoyable. The hero and heroine were sweet together. The narration was also pretty good. For a sweet romance I would definitely pick this one up. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing it.

"Finding love and finding your home"

This low-angst, mainly drama free story introduces us to Garrett, a highly respected gardener, and Willow, the new General Manager of an exclusive Smoky Mountains resort they both work at.

The book does an excellent job in vividly describing the surroundings. It makes you wish these places existed so you could stay there yourself.

The love story between Willow and Garrett is told over time, and feels natural and genuine.
India and Wyatt, the main characters from the earlier book appear quite often in this book. I haven’t read the first book. I didn’t find it difficult to understand the basics of their story but I do feel it somewhat detracted from Garrett and Willow. I would have liked to spend more time with them.

I listened to an audio version of this book that was narrated by Marnye Young. I enjoyed Marnye’s portrayal of the characters. I felt the male/female voices were distinct, as were the accents. The pacing of the narration suited the overall story. It was a pleasure to listen to.

"I just freaking couldn't stop listening!"
What did you like best about this story?

It’s safe to assume that I’ve been on a Marnye binge. I mean, the last four audiobooks I’ve listened to have been narrated by Marnye Young, and every time I pushed PLAY I wondered, “What accent will Marnye have today?”

Marnye’s southern accent is definitely my favorite. That drawl just drowns my heart! I’m riding that Marnye wave and she's washing me up me wherever she pleases!

Seeds of Intention showcases Marnye’s talent of completely encompassing a character. She becomes Willow. The doubts, the fears, the hesitation. I find myself holding my breath when I listen to her narrate. Is this weird? Maybe subconsciously I’m challenging myself to only take a breath when she makes a mistake…*snort* Yah I’d go brain dead from lack of oxygen…Marnye never makes a mistake.

Again, Marnye gives us a flawless presentation. She transforms this great book an incredible book.

    Any additional comments?

    -----------------

    Book Review:

Vineyards, gardens, dirty filthy men…Andrea Thome knows how it’s DONE! A man who loves tractors is #1 on my checklist (yes, I have a checklist…but does that really surprise any of you?)

We are first introduced to Garrett (our hunk) and Willow (our beauty). Willow is merely stopping in for an interview to be the new general manager at the resort. Of COURSE she gets it!

We aren’t introduced to the conflict yet, but just you wait, it’s coming.

Willow and Garrett meet briefly, but it isn’t until their big Smoky Mountain Table event when he really sees her. And I mean, he really sees her. *eyebrow waggle*

    Entering our first conflict: Lindsay.

Lindsay is Garrett’s long distance girlfriend. His college sweetheart. She is kind of a troll to be honest. Lindsay arrives before the event and essentially tells Garrett that she’s not sure if she can handle him being a dirt savage for another semester. Like, gag!

“Ooooo my love I want you to ravage me desperately and give up your life for me! But no, I’m not that kind of person who would ever ask you to move back to Washington for me…but really, you should move back.”

Yes, that pretty much sums up our Lindsay.

    ----
“By the time Christmas rolls around, we’ll be together for real. For good.” He looked down at her and smiled before dropping his head to brush his lips against hers. It felt less like hello and more like good-bye.
    ----

    Good! She needs to GO!

Oooh but there’s more to come in Walland, Tennessee!

Garrett and Willow’s friendship blossoms. Their romance blossoms…Let me remind you: she is his boss (conflict #2). Their relationship progresses slowly, deliciously. Andrea bent my heart backwards as our protagonists were faced with decisions.

    ----
"Willow was trying to figure out how to ask Susan and Finn the only question she cared about in that moment. She knew that, by doing so, she’d be laying her cards on the table in a way that terrified her. This is what it must feel like to skydive, she thought, right before she asked the question.

“I’ll go to Aspen, on one condition. How would you feel about me taking Garrett with me?”

The room went so quiet you could have heard a pin drop."
    ----

Is it Christmas yet? Can Lindsay be out of the picture? Gaawd can these two just KISS ALREADY!?

Willow and Garrett are stuck. They’re literally in limbo—albeit a content limbo because they don’t know any better! They’re stagnant in their personal lives, in their love lives. But through each other they somehow find the right path; a path that leads them to a love they didn’t know could exist.

I will say this: when Lindsay was first introduced I was hesitant. Men with girlfriends who are attracted to other women in any way really bother me (and I know it bothers all of you too). Andrea Thome is an immaculate author who transformed a terribly awkward situation into a platform for a relationship to build upon; she handled this with absolute finesse. When Garrett meets Willow for the first time he’s totally swooning like a cow in heat, but he respects those boundaries and his “relationship” with Lindsay. It still managed to irritate me in the beginning, though.

But does Willow even stay in Walland? Does Garrett actually go back to Washington? Does Willow go with him?! Let’s just say that romance in the Smoky Mountains has unexpected surprises. 😏

Andrea Thome has created another spellbinding romance about new beginnings. Classy, tasteful, and unputdownable!

    "Awesome Listen!!!"

This is the second book by Andrea Thorne and Marnye Young that I have listened to. I am so impressed by this combination of writer and narrator. This book is part of a series and is a standalone listen. I love the writing style of the author in terms that she writes clean stories with realistic characters. The book has some romance, suspense, humor, and realistic details. The descriptions in the books are so vivid that I can picture things in my mind. The narrator has a clear voice that changes for the various characters she performs. This book brings characters from the book Walland into this story and introduces some new characters as well. I loved the consistency of details and characters and the narrator in this listen. The resort and garden sound so appealing to me. I do not write a synopsis of the book in my reviews, but rather my opinion. I especially like the fact that this is a feel good listen and not a cliffhanger. This book is was provided to me upon my request and I have voluntarily written this review.

    "Sweet Love Story"

This is book two in the Hesse Creek series following Walland. It could technically be read as a standalone, although India and Wyatt from Walland feature heavily in this novel and it's best enjoyed with their background story as well. It's a sweet love story with non-explicit sex scenes.

Seeds of Intention takes place at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee, where Garrett has begun taking over as head gardener for the resort. He's expecting his college sweetheart to visit, and plans to move their relationship to the next level even though they live half a continent apart. Willow has just gotten the job as the new general manager for the rustic resort, and feels inexplicably drawn to the handsome Garrett.

I really enjoyed this drama free read. It's low-angst and is more about the development of the relationship, and celebrating friendship, than about drama. The build up between the main characters was done well, it was a gentle growth that took time. It felt believable. I liked both Willow and Garrett, I thought they were well developed characters with interesting backstories. It was a great match of personalities, and I enjoyed the scenes with the other couples.

The setting really shines in this book. I can just picture the rustic barns with a background of stars, while well-dressed guests sip wine and listen to fiddles. Colorado was described with just as much care, and had me longing to book a ski trip.

The narration was great, Marnye Young had a pleasant voice and perfect pace and tone. Her southern accent was subtle and well done. I received a copy of the audiobook, and I'm voluntarily leaving a review.

    "Hesse Creek Series Book 2"

This is the second book in the Hesse Creek Series. I really enjoyed Walland and several old characters are back and we have picked up some new ones as well. The story is captivating. I'm glad it's not an overwhelming amount of drama like many of the contemporary romances. Andrea has a great talent in submerging her readers into the story and keeping them engaged all the way to the conclusion.

Narration was excellent and brought the story to life. It is easy to understand what is going on and who is speaking at all times.

This book was just as good as the first one. I'm also thankful for the lack of cliffhangers. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series but not annoyed because the conclusion was well done. It will be nice to find out how they are doing in the next book.

The main characters are well developed and very likable. Honestly, I have enjoyed some of the secondary characters as well. Willow and Gerrett seem quite different at first but they do make a great couple. They have both been burned by the opposite sex. There are a few unexpected twists and a sweet HEA.
