Will one night be enough?
One night stands are something that can end up changing your life. With some ingenuity, Allison Gatta has written a short romance for Antone and Tess, full of fun banter, lots of passion and a stubborn streak to protect the child they are having. At first I thought it was going to be a story similar to The Princess Diaries, making Tess into the perfect woman to help Antone rule his country. While there is a thread of truth in this, there is so much more. Gatta has shown us a relationship of compromise. I really enjoyed the exchanges between Antone and Tess, and loved watching them get to know each other. This is a fun fairytale type of story that kept me engaged and wanting more of their lives. It's a fun listen and has me grabbing book two for the next part of the Royal family's journey!
I have listened to several books narrated by Audra Cook, and I thoroughly enjoy her performances. She has a very pleasing tone to her voices and I love that she is able to differentiate between male and female characters easily. She made this listen go quick!

Enchantment spins it's magic.
Gatta brings the fairytale to life with a little help from a Prince and his American Princess. Tess and Antone are a match made in heaven. Despite the outside forces intent on standing in their way, love is the glue that bonds them against the world. Cook lends her seductive voice as enchantment spins it's magic.
