Publisher's summary

Sins that can’t be forgiven, passions that can’t be denied….

Tristan MacGregor is famed throughout the Highlands as a silver-tongued seducer and an unrepentant rogue. Bold and charming, he’s dallied with many women, yet none as mysterious as the lass he steals a kiss from at king’s court. Little does he know this beauty is one of his clan’s greatest enemies.

Isobel Fergusson has despised the bloodthirsty MacGregors ever since they murdered her father. She’s horrified to learn that the handsome stranger she kissed is of this clan. But Tristan means to possess her at any cost, and Isobel’s body turns traitor at his touch. Can a man she’s sworn to hate be the only one she can ever love?

Does not disappoint, great as always

Had to get this audio book after getting the first in the series from my library. I am hooked! I love this narrator, makes the characters come alive. I always promise myself I will ONLY listen in the car during my commute, but then I end up listening at home too because I can't stand to wait. Tristan is such a different lead man from his older brother in the first one, that keeps it interesting. Now and can't wait to listen to the next two in this series.

It's okay.

If you're looking for upscale literature, this isn't it. It's definatly no Outlander, but what the heck, it's entertainment. I'm really not sure how I feel about the narrator. I've listened to some of the other books she's read and I think maybe it's just the way the book it written. She has a very nice voice... I'm just not sure what it is. This book it no mind bender. It's alot of telling and not showing. This isn't really a criticizim, it just is what it is. But by god! If I have to listen to the word 'gaze' one more time! Really, that word is used way to much in this book. It's good, not great, but i like the characters and the story better than the first book.

Nice but nothing more

I've listened to the Outlander series twice and hoped for a similar experience with this book - except for the convincing narrator and some really steemy scenes it's no match. I liked it, but wasn't sad when it was over.

I loved it!!!

This has become one of my favorite audiobooks. I have listened to it 3 times. The story is amazing and so romantic. The narrator is very good as well. Worth the credit for sure.
Check out the other books in the series as well.

The Playboy Falls in Love

Quinn is very innovative in how she bridges each of the editions with the rest in the series. She infuses some historical elements too. Though each of the MacGregor characters are individuals and quite distinguishable from one another, they're each interesting, attractive, and enigmatic. Quinn creates a host of secondary characters that are equally interesting and play critical parts in the story.

In Book 2, the dynamic between Tristan & Isobel simply seduces the reader. The crackling chemistry between the main characters is very entertaining. The verbal foreplay is outstanding. It's a great love story full of twists and turns.

MacDuffie does an outstanding job narrating. It was an enjoyable read. As I've progressed to Book 4 at present, "Seduced..." is still my favorite. "Tamed by a Highlander" Book 3 holds a close second.

I Love Tristan!

Nice follow up to first story in series. Loved leading male character! Made me chuckle out loud a couple of times. The narrator was awesome and really made the story come to life.

Second Book Better than the First!

Have you listened to any of Carrington MacDuffie’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I may have been a bit harsh with my first review of Carrington MacDuffie's performance in book 1 of the series. While she is still not my favorite she may be growing on me or she just plain does a better job in the next books of the series. I think she really does get better.

Any additional comments?

This book is WAY BETTER than the first in the series. Better story....more passionate loves scenes.....and much more to keep your interest other than the romance of the main characters. I actually very much enjoyed Tristan's interactions with Isobel's brothers and the progression of each relationship. I didn't feel like the author made Tristan out to be as "sappy" as she did his brother in the first book.

Simply Seduced

What made Tristan story more engrossing is Isobel and her outrageous younger brothers. Being the only female in the family to care for all types of male personalities was tiresome and rewarding at the same time.

I love the fact that Miss Quinn let Isobel's brothers run amok with Tristan, and not be intimidated by the Devil MacGregor.

Tristan's colorful love life ends with a worthy end.
