Publisher's summary

Nothing's sexier than an man who can keep a secret.

A typical bachelor party is all about beers and beautiful women. A vampire bachelor party is no different - except the men are drinking Blissky (whiskey-flavored synthetic blood). And no one can throw a party quite like Jack, the illegitimate son of the legendary Casanova. But when the party gets out of hand and the cops show up, Jack has some explaining to do... if only he wasn't struck speechless by the beauty of Officer Lara Boucher.

Lara is sure there's something more than a bachelor party going on. What is Jack hiding? And why is he so interested in the recent disappearance of young women all over town? Her investigation uncovers more than she wants to know, especially about this modern-day Casanova. But if she's ever to make detective, she'll need to expose all his secrets... if only her heart wasn't on the line.

If you have read one in this series you have read

Would you consider the audio edition of Secret Life of a Vampire to be better than the print version?

Because this series became so bland that one book was just like another. I think I would have given up on them if I had to read it myself

Would you recommend Secret Life of a Vampire to your friends? Why or why not?

No

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Stupid love sick humans

Any additional comments?

The first 2 books in this series, I was so excited. I thought I had found another author and series to get my teeth into, but these books are obviously meant to be read t intervals. Read together the plot is exactly the same, just with different characters.

Secret Life ????

This wasn't one of my favorites in the series. It may be because Jack wasn't one of the interesting characters in this series for me. I didn't feel he was interesting enough to have a book of his own. The cop aspect was good but the story still falls flat. The narration wasn't the best. I actually found her character interesting until she falls to fast and to hard for Jack. It would have been nice to keep her a little more edgy.

Love this Series, Love these Vamps!

What disappointed you about Secret Life of a Vampire?

Jack's voice was just awful. I love the story, just not the voice of Jack. Why give him such a thick accent? Love the book.

What other book might you compare Secret Life of a Vampire to and why?

I enjoy this whole series from the first book to the last one. The next book in the series is Forbidden Nights with a Vampire and it continues with what has become a family of character's which is wonderful. Our book club members just go crazy over our favorite Vamps and Shifters. It, like this book is funny and I would rather laugh then cry any day.

Would you be willing to try another one of Jennifer Bradshaw’s performances?

Not if she's doing an Italian accent

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Secret Life of a Vampire?

I wouldn't cut scenes, just some of the way the narrator's make Phinnes sound. They tend to go out of the way to make him sound ghetto-ish and it just doesn't sound right.

Any additional comments?

I think this series is great. It makes me smile, laugh and cheer for the good Vamps and Shifters. Kerreyln Sparks, keep up the great work. My book club friends and I are always ready for the next story.

RACIST STEREOTYPES!

What disappointed you about Secret Life of a Vampire?

Nearly everything out of the black character's mouth was from a racist stereotype.

Has Secret Life of a Vampire turned you off from other books in this genre?

No

Would you listen to another book narrated by Jennifer Bradshaw?

Yes

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Secret Life of a Vampire?

Every scene with racist "black" dialogue

Any additional comments?

There is a pattern of racist stereotypes from this author. In addition to the sickening black female character in this book there is also Phineas McKinney (black drug dealing Vampire from Be Still My Vampire Heart.

Another Female MC too stupid to be alive...

Is it too much to ask for a female MC that is smart enough to not be a Horror movie damsel reject. I know this is a cute vampire romance series and we are just suppose to wait for the love scenes. But if the Heroines are just a smart as the VANNA dolls, then it is time to stop letting them have sharp objects and give them crayons to entertain themselves.

Simple Logic and normal survial instincts, if you are a police officer, I would hope you could have these.
If the tall, handsome mysterious guy making your lady bits flood over, can teleport, wipe and control minds, and is super human fast... Maybe do not assume that you will be safe on your own, if the bad guys have these powers too.

Rooting for the villains this time and her painful death.

Great book Series

Totally enjoy this book series. You can read each book alone but if you read them all you learn about Roman and his life. Totally enjoy it. The only thing I would prefer is if they would use the same voices throughout all the books. This is the only book that I did not enjoy the narrator. Laura’s girlfriend’s voice was very annoying high-pitched

It had potential. it just fell short in places.

More details would have been nice, in my opinion. It had all the essential parts. I feel the author could have taken it to higher heights. Not bad. maybe I have read too many books in this genre. I need something different.
