Publisher's Summary

Daisy Grace Webber's life hasn't exactly turned out how she thought it would. She didn't think she'd drop out of college and come back to the small town she grew up in. To be fair, she didn't think her love of baking would turn into a job at the Violet Hill Cafe either, but it did.

Something else she didn't expect was for Molly Madison to walk back into her life, eight years after she moved away. They'd been best friends forever, or so she'd thought. But Molly is back in town and she's looking...really good, actually. And that reminds Daisy of that one time at a sleepover when they'd kissed during a game of Spin the Bottle. That one kiss has been on her mind since then, but it's irrelevant. Molly isn't into girls.

But as Daisy and Molly spend more time together, feelings start to grow, and Daisy is wondering just how "straight" Molly really is...

    "cute short novella"

I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher, and/or narrator.

Second Kiss is a very cute romance about two best friends who rekindle their friendship after haven't seeing each other in years. Through their years apart they both discovered they are lesbians. When Molly walks into Daisy's job she's doesn't know how to feel. Daisy was definitely hurt when she left, but she also realizes how she felt for Molly all those years ago.

I liked that Daisy and Molly always had feelings for one another, but didn't know what it meant when they were kids. They share their experiences of coming out to their families and the events that led to them discovering they were lesbians.

I think I definitely liked the narrator, Ramona Masters better listening to this book. There always seems to be drawl when she narrates making it appear that the character has an accent. It does not take away from the story though.

    "More please"

Enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Nicely paced and interesting story though a little predictable. Wish the characters would've been a little more fleshed out but what we got was good. Could've been longer for sure.

This book was very stereotyped. With that said, I liked it. It left a little to be desired in the romance department. It was mostly about two old friends rekindling after growing up and becoming lesbians (something neither of them new). <br/><br/>I was given this book for free for a honest review.

Would you consider the audio edition of Second Kiss to be better than the print version?

Honestly I didn't read the printed version. The narrator did a fantastic job. She has a great voice, and really got into the story. I'm pretty picky about the narrator, I've stopped quite a few books because the narrator wasn't doing a good job.

What other book might you compare Second Kiss to and why?

None. This was my first f/f book.

What does Ramona Master bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She really gets into character. She did a great job at changing voices. She didn't read to fast or slow. She was perfect for the book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Molly and daisy see each other for the first time in 8 years. The feels 😍😍

    Any additional comments?

This was my first f/f novella, and I'm glad it was because I loved it. Molly and daisy use to be best friends. Molly moved away, and was never heard from again. 8 yrs later she returns and finds daisy. Second kiss is a sweet book. Lots of feels. The steamy parts were very well written. I can't wait to read more by this author. <br/> I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator."<br/>

    "very cute"

cute new adult romance. I liked that despite how short it is, it addresses pansexuality (pan here) as well as other queer identities. plus great love scenes or references to sapphic bedroom details ;-p

I think while the story is good, its so culturally specific to white queer culture, that as a Black-Latinx queer person, I have a completely different queer culture. I wont say I dont connect to it, its just not my queer experience.

I kinda laughed at the tegan and sara references, the references to european features being exhaulted (one girl has brown eyes, one has blue. the brown eyes were considered average, while blue eyes was constantly desired) because it kepr reminding me it was more for white queer women.

But I know there's so few f/f books with audiobook and new adult, that it waz still awesome, I can just tell I'm not who its specifically written for.

wish the others in series had audiobooks, I'm hooked!
