Short Unique Christmas Story

This is a short but sweet Christmas romance

American, Beth must be in Scotland all by herself over Christmas.

She meets up with a mutual friend who is very handsome, of course!

I enjoyed the detail, especially hearing some of the traditions.

This has the potential to be a full-length book if the author ever wanted to make it into one – lots of detail to work with.

Caroline Miller did a lovely job performing both male and female characters with Scottish and American accents.

The author and narrator are both new to me and I look forward to coming across both of their work in the future.

Short books usually frustrate me, however, *I received this book in exchange for my thoughts, opinions and this review. I did enjoy it more than I thought-4 solid stars.

I enjoy leaving reviews, as I know that I read them the reviews of others before I purchase a book. If you found my review helpful in your decision about this book, would you please select yes directly below this paragraph? Thank you so much.

Please consider "following me" here on Audible.com. I purchased a lot of books by authors that I am faithful to. I also have the opportunity to review books in all genres, many that I would not pick up on my own. I have been pleasantly surprised by new authors and narrators. Thanks!

2nd Chance at Love over Christmas Holidays

Any additional comments?

I listened to the Audible version of Scottish Christmas, which a wonderful short story written by Addison James. Caroline Miller narrated, who was simply fantastic. She really brought the characters to life, giving each character their own distinct voice, including a believable Scottish accent.

The story centers on American Beth who is working in Scotland over the Christmas holidays two years after a painful divorce. Because no one actually works Christmas Day, she's invited to a friend of a friend's house for Christmas dinner. This friend is in the form of Gordon who takes her to his parents home to experience a real Scottish Christmas with all the activity, frivolity, and chaos all large family gatherings should bring. Things turn comical when Gordon's ex-wife shows up unexpectedly with his college-aged son.

In short, this is a very sweet heartwarming Christmas story about finding a second chance at love. I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review.
