They call him The Mute for a reason.

Hard, cold, and calculated, he rarely speaks.

When he does, it's with disdain.

When he does, his words aren't meant for me.

When he does, my stomach flips and my world tilts on its axis.

He is 33.

I am 18.

He's a single dad and my father's business partner.

I'm just a kid to him and his enemy's daughter.

He's emotionally unavailable.

And I am...feeling. Feeling things I shouldn't feel for him.

Trent Rexroth is going to break my heart. The writing isn't just on the wall, it's inked on my soul.

And yet I can't stay away.

A scandal is the last thing my family needs. But a scandal is what we're going to give them.

And oh, what beautiful chaos it will be.

Girl meets man

This book was enjoyable! It had everything to keep your interest...surfers, rich men wanting to duel with their business talents, and romance.

My Two Pennies

I love when we have a narration duo, the characters all come to life and it’s just a great story to hear. Both Savannah and Christian have done a wonderful job on Scandalous.
I’ve been hooked on these #Hotholes from the beginning with Defy and to hear Trent and Edie’s story all I can say is WOW! They call him the mute of the group but when this man speaks he says exactly how he feels. We’re given a bit of mystery as to what Edie’s father has planned throughout the entire story and I like that I’m kept guessing what it could be all while we see the side of Trent I wouldn’t of guessed he had. He’s an incredible father with all the care and protection he gives his daughter. I’m practically brought to tears with some moments shared between Edie and her, they’re truly precious moments. Although she is young, Edie’s character grows and develops into a strong heroine that I love. Great series and I would recommend you grab each one even though they can be read as standalones. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Trent's story- Hot Dang!

Oh he's a dirty dog all right.
But his story is so much more.
Strength in numbers.
Challenges ; Social mores, Abuse and overcoming them all is at the heart of this book.
This story has texture.
But strength is predominant in the characters.
Yes it has the HEA but getting there is rough..and so well worth it.

I loved it.

Just when I thought I’d listened to the best in the series Scandalous comes in my life now I’m torn. This entire series each of the characters are broken and flawed and each have a unique and intriguing story about why they are the way the are. Not one character has this happy little life all wrapped up in a neat little bow, the relationships are messy but they all come together nicely.

Trent and Edie were like oil and water they didn’t mix well but became more intrigued with each other. This is a age gap, single dad book that is full of banter and light humor. I can not decide of this series which book I like the most because they each can stand on their own merit.

I'm in love and obsessed! #perfection

This book. THIS BOOK! It's the final book in the Sinners of Saint series and holy crap did L. J. Shen go out with a bang! It was emotional, raw, and had me obsessed from the prologue.

I wasn't ready for Trent and Edie as a couple. But I loved every minute of them. They are forbidden passion and raw lust, desire and sin, disaster and ultimate triumph. In other words they are EVERYTHING! This book was so freaking emotional and intense. I was consumed by these characters and their need for one another. Filled with beautiful angst and and probably the hottest scenes in the whole series. It was the perfect ending to this epic series.

Savannah Peachwood and Christian Rummel are perfection. Savannah Peachwood's narration is consuming while Christian Rummel does an incredible job of bringing Trent to life. And oh my god that car scene! Listening to that come to life is worth the price of the audiobook alone and then some! #MustListen
