Publisher's summary

From their very first meeting, Julia knew that Aidan Carr, the oh-so-proper Duke of Trathen, had a bit of the devil in him, a devil who secretly yearned for what he could not have, a devil who harbored a desire for her. So when she needed to be caught in a compromising situation, Aidan was the answer to her prayers.

Aidan is supposed to be looking for a bride, yet his scandalous liaison with Julia is all he can think about. Hot, erotic memories of kissing her skin, falling into bed, pulling her naked body on top of his own continue to torment and tempt him. What is it about this brazen seductress that he finds so hard to resist? And how can he stop himself from falling into her bed a second time?

Critic reviews

"Witty banter, lively humor, and electric sexual tension provide an exquisite counterpoint to the more serious issues of spousal abuse and the lack of women's rights in this poignant, passionate, spicy story that pairs a marriage-averse heroine with a caring, determined hero and stretches out the disquiet until the very end." short story made long

So much angst! Unfortunately there was a LOT of drama to hear about, but never to see or feel. This resulted in hours of waiting for "it". Then rush rush rush to end it. I listened to it all... so it couldn't be totally awful but I can't think of anything to rave about either.

Pretty good

I got irritated sometimes with her and parts of the story caused me to lose interest. Worth listening if you have the romance package but I would’ve hated wasting a credit on it.

True romantic hero...

I loved Aidan’s and Julia’s love story. Aidan is a true gentleman and perfect romantic hero, always strong, patient and understanding with Julia.
My only critique is the story is slightly drawn out at times and the ending seemed rushed and abrupt, the inclusion of the wedding and hints of their future life together would have been nice...
As always, Anne Flosnik narrates beautifully.
